The sad news today is that former UK PM Margaret Thatcher has died.
She was incredibly influential among conservatives, and she was beloved for stuff like this.

Just protocol. It is a British thing. Like saying “bless your heart” down South which really means ‘you poor thing have been touched in the head’.

We lived among giants, Reagan, Thatcher and JP-II. Even Lech Walesa was bigger than life by today’s standards.
The socialist MP in that vid looks like he wants to lunge at her.
Lady Thatcher is missed. She & Ronald Reagan were the adults in the room, and Gorbachev didn’t like it one bit.

That’s a great clip, and I’ll remember her this way, along with her stating simply that the problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people’s money. Rest in peace.
