Poll: Obama underwater on guns, immigration, deficit
Politico ^ | 04/09/13 | Donovan Slack

A new CNN/ORC International poll found President Obama's overall approval rating has ticked up to 51 percent but ratings have fallen on his handling of the key issues on his agenda: immigration, guns, and the deficit.

On immigration, 44 percent approve of the way he is handling the issue, down from 51 percent in January. At the same time, disapproval has jumped to 50 percent, up from 43 percent in January.

On guns, 45 percent approve and 52 percent disapprove, the poll found. In January, 46 percent approved and 49 percent dispproved.

And on the deficit, 38 percent approve of his handling of the issue, down from 41 percent in January, while disapproval ticked up slightly to 58 percent from 57 percent.

(Also on POLITICO: Obama's agenda: What stands in way?)

Overall, his approval rating inched up 4 points and his disapproval rating fell 3 points since last month to 47 percent, the poll found.

ORC International surveyed 1,012 adults across the country from April 5-7, CNN reported. The margin of error is +/- 3 percentage points.

Gee, I thought the media said the nation is with Obama on all these things. And I don't believe for a second that after Friday's gruesome jobs report that Obama has a 51% approval rating, so you can probably shave off about 5 points from what is likely a Democratic heavy poll on all these issues for Obama. If he truly does have a 51% approval rating, it shows just how successful the lapdog US news media has been in lying about the state of the economy and covering up any bad economic news on behalf of their zombie lord Obama.

What difference does it make?

The media spin - Obama hasn’t acted quickly enough to legalize illegal immigrants and has been insufficiently aggressive with the obstructionist congress in overturning the 2nd Amendment.

The fact that anyone approves of anything Obama does boggles my mind. I am disgusted with anyone who approves of him. What will it take to wake these people up? Really, what will need to happen before they say “wow, Obama really is destroying America. Maybe I shouldn’t have voted for him”.

Why can’t we divide the nation into two separate countries?

An IQ higher than 12?

These polls are about as real as 0bama’s imaginary Twitter followers.

The numbers reflect the Lefties who are angry at compromises they see the haloed one making. Remember the way the right responded to Bush on immigration. His numbers reflected both left and right dissatisfaction.

"...International poll found President Obama's overall approval rating..."

Who gives a rat's patootie.

I would far prefer the international community dislikes him. Then maybe he might be doing something right.

Nothing will change the minds of the large number of rainbow racists that voted for 0bama. He’s not the hated white man, so they support him no matter how disastrous the consequences.

“The fact that anyone approves of anything Obama does boggles my mind.”

I believe only a tiny percentage of the population even knows what Obama is doing. My feeling from listening to people and reading demonrat comments to articles, is they have no clue what he is doing, and furthermore would be outraged at half of it had Bush done the same thing. They just like Obama because the echo chamber thinks he’s “hip” and “cool”.

The people I know who voted for him are not terribly supportive, if at all, they certainly don’t like his stance on individual issues, but they have too emotionally invested in the man to verbally admit it. The only ray of light in all this is that he will be forced to own all his failures, finally.

I think you misread it. It’s a national poll in the US. ORC International is the name of the polling outfit.

Why can’t we divide the nation into two separate countries?

Because the liberals would still infest large swaths of "red states." And at some point, the festering large cities, Democrat hotbeds, will empty their bowels on the red states searching for food.

But we would have border control. I really don’t see any other answer but to divide the country into two separate countries.

Ah. Thank you for pointing that out. You could see how I could make that mistake, though...not reading the ENTIRE article!

noticed the Obama coffin parade is wearing green ribbons.

Time to bring out the dollar bill ribbon.

Wear a Ribbon “Because I care more than you care...”

Yeah. I don't think they care much, either. Knowing nothing, they're pretty sure that he's doing a good job.
