Former FBI Informant Recalls Infiltrating the Weather Underground
The Blaze ^ | 4/9/13 | Christopher Santarelli

Andrew Wilkow’s show on TheBlaze TV Monday took a break from analyzing the usual Washington dysfunction to put the spotlight on a news story that has been out of the headlines for some time, but not forgotten.

Through the late 1960s to early 198os members of the far-left organization The Weather Underground bombed banks and various government buildings, led jailbreaks, incited riots, committed arson, and ultimately attempted an armored car robbery that left two policemen and a security guard dead. Formed in 1969 with the goal of toppling the U.S. government, some of the defunct organization’s members now hold positions at prestigious academic institutions without ever fully repudiating their past actions, as discussed on ‘Wilkow!’ last week.

On the show Monday Wilkow was joined by Larry Grathwohl, author and focus of “Bring Down America: An FBI Informer with the Weathermen.” Grathwohl was an informant for the FBI in 1969 and with the Weathermen when they went underground in 1970. Grathwohl was involved in schemes to blow police stations and even a power plant.

I hear Larry Grathwohl’s book “Bring down America” was originally published in 1976 & is currently out of print but there is a movement to resurrect it. I certainly hope that’s true & I certainly hope he has a state-of-the-art security posse.

Formed in 1969 with the goal of toppling the U.S. government

I imagine terrorists like Ayers and the rest of the "overthrow the American government, impose a far left dictatorship" crowd are feeling smug today.

The media COMPLETELY ignored the 40th anniversary of Bill Ayer’s bombing of the Pentagon. Cast Obama’s “I was just an 8 year old child then” in doubt. The Weather Underground didn’t even FORM (out of the SDS) until 1969 during the Days of Rage riots in the wake of the Chicago 68 trial.

Under orders from the White House Attorney General Holder directed the trial of Osama Bin Laden's son-in-law Suleiman Abu Ghaith to federal court in New York.

What does that have to do with this story?

The way Barack Obama's friends Bill Ayers and Bernadine Dohrn avoided prosecution for terrorism was because their attorneys demanded full discovery of all government intelligence communications, memos and records pertaining to their surveillance and capture.

Obama and Holder know this tactic will work again because we will not want to air the internal workings of our war on terror in public. This move to try him in Federal Court is basic to dismissing the case.

The cop killings and other events by Ayers, Dohrn and others in the early 1980’s has been ignored by the MSM. There has been no mention of the bombings etc that went on in early 1980’s in NY. No mention of Ayers and Dohrn and there role providing phony ID for he rental of the van used. No mention of the governments refusal to prosecute them.

No mention of the Carter Administration deal to drop all charges against Ayers and Dohrn etc.

Grathwohl's voice is part of this 5 minute mini-documentary tying Obama to Ayers and the W.U.
