The lines are clear - one side is good and supports individual freedom, the other side is evil and supports absolute power in the hands of government. Those who support even more restrictive gun laws are America’s enemies, and they pose a clear and present danger to our freedom.

“Under the measure, records of gun sales would be kept, but Ms. Collins said she was satisfied that those records could in no way be compiled into a national gun registry, a fear gun rights groups have been voicing.”

BS!!! Just to have records is compiling into a national gun registry. It will be computerized records and can be merged and sorted meaning they have a database.

Mr. Reid, who earlier Tuesday invoked his own father’s suicide by gunshot to implore consideration of the legislation

So it's not bad enough that Obama and the Dems are campaigning for this on the corpses of New Town, now Dummy Reid is digging up his daddy's corpse to drag around on the Senate floor too? So this bill would what Harry, bring your dad back to life? Prevent suicides? My gosh these craven Dems are shameless.

Two things, gun control and amnesty. If the Republicans can’t or won’t hold the line on either of these then they have seen my last penny and vote. Just sayin’

Stand your ground Republicans.

Get with the program.

There is an election in the not too distant future. You lost the last one because of this sort of middle-of-the-road compromise.

Do not compromise.

Stand for what is right. Now.

National Review Online recently reported on something you didn’t hear from the lame-stream media. When Rand Paul staged his now famous 13-hour filibuster the polls showed “a 50-point shift in public opinion toward his position.”

Senator Mike Lee commented: “Once it became clear what the principle was that was being stood for, the public naturally followed.”

When Paul staged his first filibuster... we didn’t see it coming. We had no warning and we had no time to mount a campaign of support.

But now that we know what may be coming, we have no excuse not to make our voices heard and help make it happen.

You will never solve drunk driving by making it harder for sober people to own cars and you will never solve crime by making it harder for law abiding people to own guns.

“This is obviously an important issue,” Ms. Ayotte said. “We have a variety of views, and we should have an open vote.”

Sarah Palin is probably deeply embarrassed now that she helped this two-bit turncoat RINO get into the Senate.

Republicans like being the minority party, they get all the perks of being in Washington, without having any real responsibility, it’s like being on welfare.

I just called Ron Johnson’s office in DC regarding the gun bill in the Senate. The good news, the call was answered immediately.

My question for Senator Johnson’s staffer, will he join the filibuster on the gun bill? I was told that there has been no mention of a filibuster. Hello? I called him on that. I was then told that Sen. Johnson was one of the first to sign some letter against the bill.

I am not satisfied with that response and I hope Senator Johnson steps up. I spent hours of my time making calls for him in Waukesha.

Here are the traitors to the Constitution of the United States.

Four Republican senators, Kelly Ayotte of New Hampshire, Susan Collins of Maine, Johnny Isakson of Georgia, and Tom Coburn of Oklahoma, said Tuesday that they would support a procedural motion to formally take up the gun legislation for debate and amendments. Other Republicans indicated that they were inclined to allow debate, joining Senators John McCain of Arizona and Lindsey Graham of South Carolina.

And i still have not had anyone explain why a background check for felonies, etc requires ANY mention of a gun. Whether the gun was ever actually purchased after all or not, should have no bearing whatsoever on whether or not an individual gets a pass or fail to complete a sale.

If you pass, buy the gun or don’t. If you fail, you cant. SO why any information on the gun purchased if you pass?

I wonder how the NRA views its history of supporting Harry Reid now.

Your inquiry prompted me to write the following:

Chris,

I am absolutely livid that NRA supported monster gun-grabber Senator Harry Reid. Now that the chickens have come home to roost I want to know who is going to resign over having supported Harry Reid over Sharon Angle.

I want someone's head on a plate. You were too smart by half. I want a public admission of error and a resignation. Whose is it going to be?

Sincerely,

The Shrew

When the dust settles, I may find myself in a very small minority, but I am about done giving a damn about any of this.

If this report is true and if it comes to pass, I will completely right off ALL of the GOP, as well as what is left of this country. I will drift into obscurity.

I can not support Senators that fail to support the Second Amendment, our Liberty, our Bill of Rights and ALL of our Constitution. I can not support the quiet and gutless wonders of our Congress.

“Freedom is a fragile thing and is never more than one generation away from extinction. It is not ours by inheritance; it must be fought for and defended constantly by each generation, for it comes only once to a people. Those who have known freedom and then lost it have never known it again.” ~ Ronald Reagan, from his first inaugural speech as governor of California, January 5, 1967

Ronald Reagan’s warning about losing our freedoms echoes down through a generation of lost momentum and squandered opportunity.
We now have the most ignorant electorate in the history of American elections. I believe we have the most corrupt government and media our country has ever seen.

Ronald Reagan’s warning has become reality..
