When I was a smoker, and even afterwards, I have warned (or tried to warn) people about the dangerous precedents they embrace in the name of goring someone else's ox.
Apparently people do not understand principles well enough to figure out that allowing (or even demanding) Government control of any personal habit opens the door to control of all of them.
Expecting to be called names for that in 3...2...1....
