I do not live in Pennsylvania, but I strongly preferred Toomey in 2004 and 2010. But I like to admit when I was wrong. Toomey is no better than Specter, and probably a bit worse than Specter. That’s a tough pill to swallow.
Imprecise language bothers me, and while all kinds of attacks and criticism can be heaped onto Toomey, I just don’t understand the analysis that zero was gained from defeating Specter, and that Toomey is probably “worse” than Specter.
Specter hounded us for 30 years and even ran for president to make the GOP a pro-abortion party, it takes a lot more than being bad to be worse than what Specter did to us for 30 years.
