A Canadian mother says her late daughter never recovered from an alleged rape by four teenage boys that left her deeply depressed and bullied.
Leah Parsons on Tuesday said she took her 17-year-old daughter, Rehtaeh, off life-support on Sunday after she attempted suicide last week.
She says one boy took a photo of the alleged assault in 2011 and her daughter was subjected to bullying after it went viral.

After all, it wasn’t one of their daughters. No grounds for a peasant to bring charges against another peasant. Now, assault one of the daughters of the Knights of the Realm....

Tragic. This young woman must have gone through hell in her final days. Unfortunately, there’s not much info at the link as to why authorities are refusing to criminally charge the boys.

Rehtaeh was empowered to go after them with a shotgun.

Were the four criminals muslim immigrants?
There are a few internet suggestions that this is the case. This is one of the reasons the lid is being kept on their identity. Mustn’t disturb the muslims; after all it’s part of their culture to rape and degrade women.
However, I am tired of the Administration's and MSM/s anti-bullying campaign. Learning how to get someone to stop from pushing you around and making your day miserable is a crucial rite of passage for every child. Hell, you can see it in the animal kingdom, and even in any litter of growing puppies/kittens/piglets. It is not Human Nature, it is NATURE. We need better education for kids (from parents more than schools or government) on how to deal... not a legalistic push for everyone to "be nice".
Do you think you may be equivocating a bit?
Can you really compare typical schoolyard bullying to a gang rape and then photographing that gang rape and tormenting the victim with the photograph.
I believe there is quite a difference between bullying and something that now should be considered, in my opinion, a capital crime.
Your post makes one wonder if that is the reason this girls life is not going unavenged.
If it is ,it is time for some Vigilante justice.
That revenge may be what the liberal, arse-kissing authorities are trying to prevent by not identifying the evil rats who did this.
RCMP in Nova Scotia said that all four boys involved in the investigation are still minors and police are “concerned” about reprisals.
“It’s a challenge,” Cpl. Scott MacRae said. “We’re aware of the stuff on social media that’s circulating.… We don’t want people to act on misinformation.”
But a lot of bullying was by other girls, her own peers, who were calling her a slut. That is typical when girls react to someone having a 'reputation.' Some people are very brave when they get in a group, and see someone else, singled out on the margins.
Yes, often I share that feeling. But we must keep up our spirits and believe in goodness.
It is so sad to think of what she suffered.
It’s true that many big city girls are evil, but all this taunting went down after the four criminals raped this child.
