If you REALLY want to know look into it.

Woodmorappe says that there were about 16,000 animals on the ark - mammals, birds, and reptiles. He doesn't explain how fish and insects survive, or invertebrates like worms. So how did they survive anyway?

How did Noah's family of a dozen or so people care for 16,000 animals anyway? Woodmorappe likens the task to a modern factory farm where tens of thousands of chickens are raised and fed by a handfull of people, but that's an easy task by comparison. Feeding and caring for a homogeneous groups of animals is far different than caring for 16,000 animals, each with their own diet and their own needs. So how was it that a handful of people could care for all those animals for months on end?

As to the subject of waste removal, Woodmorappe speculates that Noah had the animals for months before the ark was completed, and in that time he trained them to poop and pee in buckets, thus making waste removal on the ark easier and more efficient. Really? Training 16000 animals to poop on command and in a receptical? It was hard enough housebreaking my dog, how do you do that for an elephant?

His proposals for how the ark was ventilated, what the interior environment was like, and all the rest are equally hard to believe. The tale of Noah is just as hard to believe as the rest of YEC.

He reasonably answers your questions for caring for the animals. (i.e., dormant, metabolism, hibernation nature's way)

you can choose to accept the explanation, or make fun of it.
Your choice, as well as your eternity.

But I do not mind sincere questions.

thanks
