Vice President Joe Biden this morning said that the “cultural norm” about gun ownership has changed, arguing that many people buy guns, not for protection or hunting, but because “it’s like driving a Ferrari.”

I agree. Some enjoy driving their Ferraris, others enjoy the feel of a particular gun while target shooting. I fail to see why either group should be deprived of pleasures that harm no one. (Except Liberals whose minds blow up at the thought of freedom.)
Actually, he's knocking WOMEN. Wasn't there a 23% increase in women gun purchasers last year. Every report indicates these women are not hunters but feel "empowered" by their new purchase and skill.
It never ceases to amaze me to see how many lefties think that they’re expert psychologists. So expert, in fact, that they can diagnose people they’ve never met and wouldn’t deign to speak to.
I strongly suspect that their “expertise” comes from the gentleman’s C they got in Freshman Psychology, which they took in the hopes of learning some Jedi mind tricks (or Jedi mind melds in Obama’s case) that help them get into girls’ pants.
Of course they’re all “avid lifelong hunters” too. It’s a wonder that there’s a game animal left alive anywhere in the country.

Here are my two reasons, Joltin' Joe:
1. A gun is a Great Equalizer. I hope I never have to use it against another human being, BUT...if it comes down to me and my family's lives, I will NOT hesitate to use it. And I KNOW how to use it!
2. I no longer expect Law Enforcement to be at my beck and call able to respond immediately to my need for them when I call 911. Though I will call them, I will not need to be at the mercy of criminals until - or if - they get there. See number 1.

But some libertarian really ought to say this to the Democrats: “If we Republicans get out of your bedrooms, will you get out of our gun racks? Since you want minors under age 18 to get the Morning After Pill without a prescription, don't you agree that everybody 18 and older should be able to buy a gun without a permit?”
The look on the face of Democrats ought to be priceless when their “personal freedom” arguments get turned around on them.
