My take on this is that the Dems are expecting to produce something, but they want to take a lot of time getting there, and they want to be able to appear to have made concessions (to support those in tough re-election fights in 2014), and they want to rack up a lot of floor debate time. Absent a Tsunami or a major celebrity death, this is going to be front and center in the news for the next 10 days. So, I would recommend that the GOP withdraw all amendments, sit on their hands and let the entire amalgam pass with only Dem and Rino votes. The issue gets out of the spotlight fast and then the House can reject it, Game over.

Excellent reply! I just hope you are right but I have much more negative thoughts, not uncommon for me.

I’d guess that you bank your outcomes on the GOP actually doing what they are expected to do - a major fault!

Otherwise, your statements are correct. If this outcome becomes other than I’d expect, I will be not only amazed but flabbergasted!

And not to any thanks to the GOP and their limited understanding of their actions. They seem to not know any better...
