Doctor Who, during the reign of Russell Davies, was vehemently anti-conservative. It showed in scripts and in the comments of the actors, notably Sylvester McCoy, the 7th Doctor.
With the departure of Davies, and with Steve Moffat taking the helm, the script writers have gotten better, and more respectful.
Appears that within our lifetime the British have gone from being the most admired people on Earth to becoming loathsome. These vermin are not worthy of Maggie Thatcher.
