Gander Mountain will open a "Firearms Super Center" in Rogers later this month, the first time it has rolled out the concept in Minnesota, the company said Friday, April 5.
The St. Paul-based outdoor goods chain already has 11 Gander Mountain locations across the state -- all of which sell guns -- but its store in the western Twin Cities suburb will have strictly a firearms emphasis. The company boasts it is "the nation's leading firearms retailer."
The 30,000-square-foot Rogers location -- formerly a Best Buy -- will have its official grand opening in May.

Gander is on my snit list..they will not ship ammo to NY even though it is legal until Jan 2014.
Minneapolis leftists may be outraged, but Rogers is to far out in the hinterland for them. Heck, Minneapolis lefties hardly venture into Saint Paul.
if like most other places, they’ll have one box of ammo out.(for display only)
I took a couple in that I didn't need anymore and even their gun appraiser said he wouldn't sell them for that price. He said he has to offer what the company tells him to.
Any ammo quantities? Probably not. Flawed business model.
leftists are outraged.
paging Senator Moron (er Murphy)....what do you say on that!!
Rogers, MN will love it. We have a Gander Gun World here in Germantown, WI and it has more guns and gun stuff than the big Cabela’s up the road. Too bad no retail outlet I know of has much in gun inventory and no ammo, except some shotgun shell hunting loads.
“Back when I was a gun owner”, I quit doing business with them long time ago when the completely dropped selling reloading supplies. Their prices are way off the charts on everything so it was a no-brainer to find a new supplier. There are lots of good alternatives to GM out there, you just have to look.

Oh H**L! I was hoping it was Rogers, Arkansas!
That’s where I bought my last shotgun when I was visiting my brother in law in PA. Nice store.
Lots of rifle ammo at Gander Mt. NE PA but handgun ammo is non existent except for .17 HMR.
We got ours in Indianapolis about a month ago.
What used to be a 40-foot display case is now over 150-feet long and runs the entire length of the store’s back wall.

They want you to buy gun safes (preferably from THEM). I'm sure they'll support "gun insurance" when our political Lords & Masters ram THAT down our throats, with Chief Justice John Roberts' rubber stamp.
30,000 sq ft is considered a “super center”????
Cabela’s Hamburg is 250,000 sq ft (and they are currently expanding it)
That’s cuz the streets in St. Paul were laid out by a drunkin Irishman.
They are the ones who need to put heat on the risk adverse ammo manufacturers. Additional plant and equipment won't go in until the wholesalers demand it.
