Talladega 500 - May 5th. Expect 150,000 or more there as well.

While I say that, I'm seeing a pattern in attacks that actually does not include large sporting events. It is probably more difficult to do the planning at a location that's normally vacant (and thus the perps involved could be more easily spotted) than in a big city in which you could do so without being noticed.

Virtually every NASCAR event has more than 100,000 attendees.

Here at MIS most of the spectator cars are kept at a fair distance from the track aside from those entering the infield by way of the tunnel.

"Virtually every NASCAR event has more than 100,000 attendees."

I remember when Indy used to get twice that many just for qualifications. ~sigh~ good times, good times.

I wish they would bring INDY racing back to MIS but the crowds evaporated with the split.

If you see bomb-sniffing dogs at these events ... get the hay out of there.

Come on up to Indy. The race itself is still as big as ever and tickets are easy to scalp outside the track. If you come early enough check out carburation day on the friday before the race, It is a really good time - world's biggest party of race fans. The band Poison will be putting on a concert this year in the turn two infield.

They have them at all the biggest events even if you don't see them.

Every time some human debris does something dastardly why is the first reaction of government thugs to tighten the screws on the honest citizen?

Some mental defective, shoots a bunch of kids and the government comes down on the honest citizen by stripping us further of our "Creator given" rights.

Some turd world sand monkeys take down some aircraft and our 4th Amendment rights go out the window as soon as we enter an airport, train station, government building.

Some human debris screws the government out of tax dollars and the IRS thinks they can suspend our 4th Amendment rights to privacy.

Some filth break into our houses and some states tell us to run and hide and make it a crime to stand your ground.

I am tired of being pushed around by our government every time there is some scum doing something bad. Maybe the real cruel and unusual punishment is what the government does to us in the name of security.

Lets try this, because what they are doing has failed miserably, lets immediately deport any mudslime. They contribute nothing to the country but death and destruction and I would much rather trample on the rights of a self-avowed enemy of my way of life than let our government trample on the rights of 99% of our citizens.

A USA without mudslimes would be a much better place. Send them all back to the cesspools their fake and phony religion created.

I’d gladly come to Indy but only after they tear down that structure on the infield side of the front straight.

That monstrosity blocks the view of just about every seat except in the far corners.

If they wanted more seating build higher. Ever been to the nose bleed section of Bristol? Its high but a great view of the track.

I think MIS is on IndyCar’s radar as a possible future addition. So is Phoenix.

I’m already fortunate enough to have an IndyCar race near me, but unfortunately it’s at Sears Point...

I know our local economy could sure stand to get that 3rd race date back.

Personally I think there are too many tracks these days. I just wish they had gone with a different configuration for the California speedway.

I wouldn’t mind seeing MIS replacing Belle Isle on the IndyCar schedule. Not to mention they really need to get back into Road America.

My boyfriend and I are headed over for the STP 400 on Sunday. It'll be interesting to see what changes because security at the Kansas Speedway has never been very intrusive. They allow coolers in so I wonder if they'll start searching those?

I would expect so. Of course I would also honestly expect that no NASCAR venue would ever be considered a ‘soft’ target, if you know what I mean.
