Washington (CNN) -- An envelope that tested positive for the deadly poison ricin was intercepted Tuesday afternoon at the U.S. Capitol's off-site mail facility in Washington, congressional and law enforcement sources tell CNN.

Ricin is useless as an WMD, it’s easy to make from castor beans, but useless unless you can inject it into someone or get them to ingest it somehow.

It is a powerful poison, but a far cry from weaponized anthrax.

I support the Second Amendment right of people to keep and bear arms. Since being elected to Congress, I have been a strong and consistent defender of the Second Amendment. I have opposed efforts to impose gun restrictions on law-abiding citizens, and I do not feel more gun control laws are the answer to the problems confronting our nation.
