Ricin is useless as an WMD, it’s easy to make from castor beans, but useless unless you can inject it into someone or get them to ingest it somehow.

It is a powerful poison, but a far cry from weaponized anthrax.

You would just about have to use a crop duster over a populated area to use ricin as a mass terror weapon.

So now the MSM - especially CNN and MSNBC who have until now been blaming the recent terror attacks on right wingers, should now start blaming it on left wingers since there was a simultaneous attack on a Republican Senator.

Twenty-one Key West post office employees and customers who underwent a hazardous materials wash-down Friday afternoon can breath easier today. A suspicious powder that put the downtown facility on lockdown turned out to be harmless, and the envelope containing it appears to one of several anthrax hoax letters mailed to multiple locations by a Maryland prison inmate, according to a federal inve...

From Senator Wicker's web page
I support the Second Amendment right of people to keep and bear arms. Since being elected to Congress, I have been a strong and consistent defender of the Second Amendment. I have opposed efforts to impose gun restrictions on law-abiding citizens, and I do not feel more gun control laws are the answer to the problems confronting our nation. I believe tougher enforcement of existing laws is a more effective means of addressing crime.

The right to bear arms is an individual right guaranteed by our Constitution and affirmed by the U.S. Supreme Court in the decision to overturn Washington D.C.’s gun ban. One of my first acts as your Senator was to join 55 other Senators and 250 Members of the House of Representatives in sending an amicus curiae brief to the Court supporting an individual’s right to bear arms. I also am working in my position on the Senate Veterans Affairs Committee to ensure that recent attacks on veteran gun owners are curbed and their rights are not infringed.

Disgrunted right wingerer. Wicker was political counsel to Trent Lott. I don’t give anybody in that position the benefit of the doubt, when it comes to being a constitutionalist.

Might want to give a heads up to Sheriff Joe. After failure of bomb attempt, who ever is doing this may try something else.
