Top Five: Media's History of Falsely Blaming the Right for Mass-Murder
Breitbart ^ | 4/16/13 | John Nolte

Posted on 04/16/2013 6:22:07 PM PDT by Nachum

Once you understand that the media is a soulless left-wing propaganda machine determined to marginalize the right, everything they do makes sense. Those of you asking, "How can the media make the same mistakes over and over again?", fail to understand that falsely speculating that the right is behind or at fault for mass murder is not a mistake on the media's part, it is a political tactic.

Our craven corrupt media see tragedy -- be it dead schoolchildren or theatre-goers -- as a partisan political opportunity, not a time to come together and mourn until all the facts are known. Therefore, every mass-murder that captures the nation's attention is and will continue to be used to scapegoat and smear the political right.

Which is why even when that smear blows up in the media's face, the media doesn't stop. Obviously, the media think the hit to their credibility is worth it -- worth pushing, at every possible opportunity, The Narrative that the right is capable of such a thing.

1. Tucson Murders (2011): Within an hour of the senseless murder of six and wounding of 13 (including Congresswoman Gabby Giffords), the media was openly blaming Sarah Palin for instigating this crime -- and would continue to do so for weeks.

2. Colorado Movie Theatre Shooting (2012): The same Friday morning news broke of a brutal slaying inside a Aurora, Colorado movie theatre, on ABC"s "Good Morning America," investigative reporter Brian Ross speculated with George Stephanopoulos that a member of the Tea Party might be behind the shooting.

3. Newtown Elementary School Massacre (2012): The media took a different tack with this unspeakable crime. Rather than speculate that a "right winger" might be behind the shooting, within minutes, the media instead coordinated to turn the National Rifle Association

Amen to this article!

The media are neither stupid nor just simply biased - they are the enemy. They place political gain above every other value - this country means nothing to them.

Yes, and thats exactly why the media will not be in any hurry to provide information about the actual bombers.

They get to scold those who speculate it was islamic terrorists for profiling, and at the same time they can promulgate the idea the 'right wing' is a domestic threat on par with islamic terrorists.

Remember the Times Square bombing? Remember Nanny Bloomberg (D-Bermuda) saying that it was obviously someone protesting Obamacare?

“How can the media make the same mistakes over and over again?”

It’s not a mistake. They must know better, but they say it anyway.

Dudes y dudettes, it is not the Right Wing Extrememists who blow up people at a marathon. It is the Lefties or Islamonutballs.

I mean, hell, look at McVeigh. Blew up a Federal Building. Yeah, he killed a bunch of innocent children, but he did it out of his hate for the Gubmint. Not saying it was right, it was perverted, but he did it because he hated the Feds.

The nuts in the planes at the World Trade Center NY, Aurora CO, Newtown CT, Tucson AZ, Fort Hood TX and on and on and on. They just wanted to hurt people who could not defend, if children got hurt that was just too bad. Add Boston MA to that list. They just want to make a splash.

It ain’t the Cons like us who pulled this caper. It is the Ones Who Don’t Care Who They Kill. The Islamonutballs get my vote, look at their methods.

Word.

And it’s NOT new! In 1964, Goldwater was slandered by an ad which implied that he would start a war which would kill EVERYONE!

A successful tactic at that. Ask the moron on the street and the will tell you a right wing gun nut killed the children in CT.

The "Daisy" ad, of course.

Did you know that the DNC paid to run the ad only once!

Yet, virtually everybody knew about it, and most had actually seen it.

Because the networks kept showing it and commenting on it in their news shows...over-and-over.

Even in 1964, the media knew which side they were on.

Once you have successfully demonized a group of people in the eyes of the population, it makes it easier to criminalize them.

Such is the hallmark of every Leftist/Socialist /Despotic regime to ever come into existence.

Obama’s MarxoFascists will be no different. For some of us - we know who their Jews are going to be.

Once you have sown the idea that a particular group of political people are a threat to everyones security - a few Reichstag fires will easily give way to those groups being made to ‘go away’.

A couple of years ago History or NatGeo showed a special on the Kennedy assassination. It was titled something like 24 hours in Dallas or something. After the shooting, the video featured several man-in-the-street reactions from the public about the assassination. They must have shown a dozen or so interviews. At least in four of them, the interviewee blamed “rightwing extremists.” I was shocked. I had never heard that term before till the ‘90s, I guess with OKC bombing, etc. Where did that term come from back in the ‘60s? Anyway, it was a revelation to me.

Well before we all cast stones, Rep. Peter King (R-NY) stated it could be Islamists or right-wing groups.

Odd that you and so many other go back to the OK bombing -as if 9/11 never happened. Seems creepy trollish... I mean, what’s your point?

"Even in 1964, the media knew which side they were on."

See Walter Duranty's NY Times reports from the Soviet Union in the early 1930s.

Chronologically speaking, OKC happened BEFORE 9/11/01. And personally speaking, I was out of the country for several years and the first terrible event that occurred when I returned was OKC.

This has been happening at least since John Mohammed, nothing new or unexpected here. I hope it turns out to be a journalist trying to generate sympathy for gun confiscation to help out daddy-o (yeah, I know - would have to be someone dumb even by journalist standards).

Let's not forget Sarah Palin's Magic Voodoo Map of Death (named by Jim Treacher) that contains -- crosshairs! Many on the left believe that those crosshairs helped inspire Jared Loughner to shoot Gabby Giffords in Tucson in 2011.

There is no evidence that Loughner actually saw the map, but when did leftists ever need evidence? Even if he had seen the map, there is no rational reason to believe that it would inspire Loughner or anyone else to commit murder. But when did leftists ever bother with rationality?

By the way, if Boston police are still looking for a suspect -- well, this WAS the Boston Marathon, and what prominent female Republican do we know who likes to run in marathons?

I was in the 11th grade when Kennedy was assasinated. I remember our teacher saying that there were people in Texas who would have liked to kill him. I believe he said something about the right wing but I am not sure but he did say that there were dangerous people in Texas who might want him dead. This happened in a school in Massachusetts. It makes you wonder what was being circulated in the teachers/intellectuals’ world at that time.
