Republican Sen. Rand Paul of Kentucky, popular with conservatives and libertarians in the GOP, said Wednesday he is considering a presidential campaign in 2016 but will not make a decision before next year.
Paul said at a breakfast sponsored by The Christian Science Monitor that he wants to be part of the national debate and said that remaining open to a presidential bid would give him a broad audience on a number of policy issues.

Dear FReepers,
Due to the economy, combined with posters who refuse to donate, the FReepathon Team is anticipating a long haul. We have started working on Memorial Day graphics. Got ideas? Send them along. We also are looking for ideas on Flag Day

Rand’s son will be of age to run for president when Rand gives up the dream. Their motto is “Whatever it takes to help Democrats!”

He won’t get my vote, although he would be popular in his native Europe. America says, “Nuke Iran. Support Israel.”

You are probably forgetting that the base nominated McCain and Romney in the last two go arounds. If anything, Rand Paul might have a hard time because he is too Libertarian conservative. That right there, along with his position on immigration (or, rather, amnesty) is the reason I will not vote for Rand Paul. Conservative? Not hardly.

The problem with Rand Paul is that every time he gets close to Dog Doo he has to stick his foot face in it. Just seemed more accurate.
