Harry Reid: We don’t have the Right to Arm ourselves Against the Government
Daily Caller ^ | 4/17/2013 | Alexis Levinson

Posted on 04/17/2013 10:10:09 AM PDT by politisite

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) said that he will support the Assault Weapon Ban against what he calls conspiracy theorists, black helicopters and false flags:

“I’ll vote for the ban because saving the lives of police officers, young and old, and innocent civilians, young and old, is more important than preventing imagined tyranny,”

Is it really “imagined” tyranny if you’re voting to support it?

Harry, you ignorant jerk, read Thomas Jefferson:

The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government.

I would rather be exposed to the inconveniences attending too much liberty than to those attending too small a degree of it.

“Laws that forbid the carrying of arms...disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes... Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man.” (Quoting Cesare Beccaria)

The beauty of the Second Amendment is that it will not be needed until they try to take it.

Screw you Reid. The second is to guarantee its citizens the right to arm and overthrow tyrannical government. That is where we are headed with crap heads like you. It was not set in the Constitution to hunt or just for occasional shooting games.

Maybe we have an “imagined tyranny” because there are 300 million guns in the hands of the public.

FYI, Douchy Harry, there IS a right to revolt against a tyrannical government...unless, that is, you want to publicly disavow the Declaration of Independence.

Go ahead, make my day...disavow the Declaration. DO IT! Show everyone the truth of who you are.

Scumbag!

“Certainly one of the chief guarantees of freedom under any government, no matter how popular and respected, is the right of citizens to keep and bear arms. This is not to say that firearms should not be very carefully used, and that definite safety rules of precaution should not be taught and enforced. But the right of citizens to bear arms is just one more guarantee against arbitrary government, one more safeguard against tyranny which now appears remote in America, but which historically has proved to be always possible”

Senator Hubert H. Humphrey (D) Minn.
“Know Your Lawmakers” Guns (magazine), February, 1960, p. 4.

Actually, you ghoul freak, that is EXACTLY why the amendment was included right from the start! Typical commie globalist strategy, to state the exact opposite of truth then push it as ‘the truth’.

imagined tyranny

Is taxing / fining the young next year if they don’t buy health insurance.

imagined tyranny
Is fondling our daughters, grandmothers and wives if we wish to board a private airplane.

imagined tyranny
is sending ATF agents to states to acquire the CCW lists from the databases that the states maintain.

I could probably go on.

“preventing imagined tyranny,”

Seems like someone trying to remove an amendment from the Bill of Rights is committing an act of tyranny, so, it ain’t “imagined tyranny” anymore.

"The prohibition is general. No clause in the Constitution could by any rule of construction be conceived to give to Congress a power to disarm the people. Such a flagitious attempt could only be made under some general pretense by a state legislature. But if in any blind pursuit of inordinate power, either should attempt it, this amendment may be appealed to as a restraint on both."

The wish to arm ourselves against the police who keep our streets safe is not a reason to oppose an assault weapons ban. I believe that as Americans, we have a right to arm ourselves against criminals, but we don’t need the ability to arm ourselves against the army or the police. The United States military is not out to get us. Federal law enforcement, local police departments are not out to get us. These conspiracy theories are dangerous and they should be put to rest.”

Reid needs a lesson in History.

Dingy Harry is our enemy.

The United States Citizens KNOW that they're going to have to fight TYRANTS in their own government.
You cannot protect life, without the ability to take life.

While you are WAITING for the police to respond, someone could be losing their life.
All people of a responsible age should be armed.

As EternalVigilance reminded us:

Click here to read the 12 page pamphlet.

Let us NEVER FORGET THAT !

Let's subjugate them to OUR end game, DUST!
"COMPROMISE" is a DIRTY word!
People who study the Bible know that COMPROMISE almost always leads to destruction.

It's time to mock the "Gun Control" Zombies!
"Gun Control" is a firm grip, steady breathing, accurate aim (developed by lots of practice), and a slow trigger pull.

The Swiss have got it CORRECT !
We need to learn from the Swiss and implement their "gun control measures" here in the United States right now, today!
These laws are the ones we should shove into the "2nd Amendment Haters" faces.

The Swiss have got it CORRECT !
Let's adopt THEIR LAWS !

Remember: Read Second Amendment: It’s Not About Hunting, IT'S ABOUT TYRANNY .
