Baucus warns of 'huge train wreck' enacting ObamaCare provisions [hypocrite helped create it]
The Hill ^ | April 17, 2013 | Sam Baker

en. Max Baucus (D-Mont.) said Wednesday he fears a "train wreck" as the Obama administration implements its signature healthcare law.

Baucus, the chairman of the powerful Finance Committee and a key architect of the healthcare law, said he fears people do not understand how the law will work.

"I just see a huge train wreck coming down," Baucus told Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius at a Wednesday hearing. "You and I have discussed this many times, and I don't see any results yet."

"Small businesses have no idea what to do, what to expect," Baucus said.

Citing anecdotal evidence from small businesses in his home state, Baucus asked Sebelius for specifics about how it is measuring public understanding of the law.

"You need data. Do you have any data? You've never given me data. You only give me concepts, frankly," Baucus told Sebelius.

Yup. Another Fabian head fake. It was never about healthcare. It was all about destroying the economy, getting direct control of people’s bank accounts, raising an army under the rubric public service, and gutting the constitution in the name of pubic health.

Back in 2010, one of Baucus's defenses of Obama's policies was, Baucus: "It is a shift, a leveling . . . ."As will all such schemes by governments throughout history, coercive "leveling" (coercive redistribution of the earnings of hard working citizens) never works, but always destroys liberty.

America's liberty and prosperity for over 200 years was based on another idea, for the earnings of hardworking citizens were protected from the coercive hand of government by a written Constitution which did not allow the Baucuses of the world such "taking" power. Hear Samuel Adams:

"Is it now high time for the people of this country to explicitly declare whether they will be free men or slaves. It is an important question which ought to be decided. It concerns more than anything in this life. The salvation of our souls is interested in this event. For wherever tyranny is established, immorality of every kind comes in like a torrent, it is in the interest of tyrants to reduce the people to ignorance and vice.” - Samuel Adams

And:

“The utopian schemes of leveling and a community of goods, are as visionary and impractical as those which vest all property in the crown. These ideas are arbitrary, despotic, and, in our government unconstitutional.” - Samuel Adams

The rats are trying to distance themselves already.

All the while the head rat blames the Republicans (who control everything in DC, according to Obama when he is looking for a way out of his mess).

This is the part where the TRAITOR congressmen pretend they didn’t “really” want to vote for Obamacare, but had to.

They also pretend nobody owns TV’s during primary season.

Am I seeing DC socialists trying to turn their "remedy," Obamacare, for a crisis that DC socialists manufactured, into another government-manufactured crisis?

I can’t wait to see how they go about “simplifying” it. There’s no way they didn’t know that they were creating a Frankenstein, and Pelosi was entirely too casual when she said “we have to pass it to see what’s in it”. What she was saying was, it doesn’t matter, because obamacare is not the true end goal of their agenda. What they will claim they have to do to fix obamacare is the true end of their agenda.

That’s just it, they did already know. That’s why they could be so unbelievably cavalier in forcing its passage without it having been read or understood. That dog’s dinner was never the end goal. What they’re going to do to “fix” it is the end goal. Otherwise people like Baucus would be in their usual CYA spin mode.

All THAT and more... but there are a lot of people in the US who are very easily led.

They heard the magic word ‘free’ and their eyes glazed over.

Right, free like the toy in the Cracker Jack box.... if sometning is free ... that means it isn’t worth anything!

But you voted for it, didn't you.

Hell he was one of the principal 'authors,' if poisonous gibberish can be considered writing.

The situation in Washington is one of complete insanity. They are run amok, they are bribing and stroking one another, they do great national damage in order to be seen doing something....

Babel.

What they will claim they have to do to fix obamacare is the true end of their agenda.

That will likely be a single-payer system, which was their goal to begin with.

Baucus: You reap what you sow.

Remember the a - - - - - e Pelosi saying, “We have to pass the bill to see what is in it”

Well, now those idiots are seeing!!!

Frankly they should have jumped in with both feet and gone to a single payer system right off the bat.The reason they didn’t was because the idiots on the Hill don’t consider mandatory payments to an insurance company to be the same thing as mandatory payments to the IRS. Of course in either event, its really a tax.

If I remember correctly, Baucus has a perfect cover for his vote and subsequent critique of the implementation ... he was drunk!! I remember distinctly that he was incoherent and an absolute embarrassment to the Democrats (if that is possible).

Baucus, ... said he fears people do not understand how the law will work.

No, the people understand very well how it will work. That's why employers are taking measures to reduce its impact as much as possible. Reducing workforces, shifting from full-timers to part-timers, etc.

And then there are the health care providers who are preparing for career changes or early retirement.

According to Baucus, the idea of him reading a bill allocating nearly $1 trillion of federal funds is “a waste of time:
