We're safe now. Obama's been briefed on Boston

[Obama] spoke on national TV, by his choice, barely three hours after the explosions. It was appropriate that he not yet pronounce them terrorism. Even though he looked like an ignoramus. Two bombs igniting within seconds in the same place spewing shrapnel, much like two jumbo jets flying straight into the World Trade Center towers, are not accidents.

The 498 words that Obama did read from a script on the podium added absolutely nothing to the incident's information flow. They were designed like most of what he does to insert his face into the day's biggest story. And his press people's choice of timing was no accident either--6:10. Give the evening newscasts 10 minutes to set up the scene and then the big guy enters stage left.

The first words out of the president's mouth, after a strangely chipper and incongruous "Good afternoon, everybody," were not that it was a sad day for the country. Not that we'd all just witnessed an awful thing. Not that three innocent Americans had been lost. Not that, speaking for America, his heart went out to the victims and the city of Boston.

No. The very first words President Obama uttered about the Boston terrorism were revealingly all about him: "I was briefed by my homeland security team."

Seriously? Who cares? The news would have been if the president hadn't been briefed. Looks like a certain Democrat Oval Office occupant really is feeling defensive about having disappeared to bed or somewhere during the Benghazi murders and non-rescue last 9/11.

BEEN SUCKING-UP, BIG GUY?

No American is safe with this legacy-obsessed clown and his henchmen in the White House.....not Bostonians, not 8-yo kids, not physically fit marathon runners, not marathon observers on the sidelines....nobody is safe....and that includes soldiers on US military bases (Ft Hood) and US embassies abroad (benghazi).
