I do know there is no zoning in Houston. I have no idea if there is in the rest of Texas.

Zoning, is, of course a bit of a dirty word around here - you have people that believe they have the absolute right to do or build anything on property they own.

Of course, the minute someone ELSE does or builds something they don't like anywhere near their property, they turn into massive hypocrites.

Oh, there's zoning in Texas - it's just not as onerous and restrictive as in a lot of other states. Less government here, ya know?

What exactly do you mean by this? No zoning as a direct result of state law, or no municipal zoning period? The latter is obviously not true.
