FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- The family of a four-year-old Valley boy murdered in 2009 is now facing another potential tragedy. The murder victim's father may soon be deported, which would leave his wife and six other children behind in Kerman. Luis Mercado is in the custody of Immigration and Customs Enforcement, according to his wife, Mindy Mercado.

Gotta love this logic...Mindy says Luis' legal status here became an issue with ice because of a domestic violence incident several years ago. She says Luis has not been violent since. ..What I found interesting is no where in the article does it indicate how the husband sought to get professional help, never was prescribed any medications.I think his biggest concern is his past includes history of domestic violence .He has no evidence to back up his claim of depression.

So go home with him.
Oh! Wait! Then you wouldn't get all kinds of free stuff courtesy of the US taxpayer.

An illegal without condoms???? Shame. Here’s a suggestion. Send all 8 back to Mexico. They can find work burying innocent people killed in “Barry and Eric’s Great fast and Furious Adventure!!”

WOW!!
I wonder if there is any reason the Luis’ wife and six kids cannot accompany him back to his home country.
Unless maybe their immigration laws are just too strict.

Yeah..there is more work in Mexico than here. They have a very low unemployment rate.

Is there a law that prevents the wife and kids from leaving the US?

So the media is admitting something we all know. Living in Mexico is a tragedy. Uh, maybe the MEXICAN GOVERNMENT can do something about that?

Yes. Hidden in Obamacare is a clause which forbids Obama voters from fleeing the United States.

The reporter on this story is completely ignorant of current immigration law.
Or, the reporter is deliberately suppressing vital information on this story.
Were none of the illegal immigrant father's other six children born on USA soil?
Any who were are automatic USA citizens.
Was his murdered son not born on USA soil?
That would make him an “Anchor Father,” with many legal rights to stay in the country.
At the least, that's a Get-Out-Of-Jail-Free card right there.
And, six months ago Obama signed an Executive Order that “Defers Action” (that is, no arrest) against illegal immigrants whose deportation would inflict “extreme hardship” on family members living in the USA.

The murder victim's father may soon be deported, which would leave his wife and six other children behind in Kerman.Only if they choose to stay behind. They COULD go with him, after all. I mean, wouldn't his home country welcome them with open arms?

I hate that the gov’t prevents families from going with their deported family members. It’s so cruel. Just let them go with them for heaven’s sake!

nobody should be deported. right? Plus we should provide anyone who wants it free medical care, schooling for their kids, welfare, food stamps and anything else needed to support themselves while undercutting American workers.
yes. sarcasm because now and again someone just doesn’t get it.
