Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker surges to top of GOP 2016 list

He doesn't get the attention of the Sunday talk shows, or Washington's political elite, but the Midwest's dragon slayer, Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker, is emerging in some Republican circles as the surprising favorite to win the GOP nomination for president in 2016.

Untainted by scandal, far from Washington's voter-frustrating gridlock, and reinvigorated by his victory over foes who staged a recall vote, the conservative Walker is also viewed as the best candidate to sop up the Midwest white vote which, had Mitt Romney done better there, would have catapulted him into the Oval Office.

Although I do have a college degree I readily remind people that some of the most successful people have not had one nor needed one. Especially with what they teach these days, may be better off.

Jeb Bush must have the huge Bush fund raising machine behind him, propping him up. Other than that he is incapable and not too bright.

Isn't that basically the how and the why of how his brother got to the White House?

The runt of the litter thinks he has an “in” with the changing electorate due to his Mexican wife

I hope not. Along with the Kennedy family, the Bushes are one political dynasty that should have been nipped at the bud. Cronyist hacks the lot of them.

Walker, while doing great things here in Wisconsin, does not have a college degree. Palin was chastized for her ‘lesser’ degree. I can only imagine the field day the elites will have with Walker’s lack of a degree.
I suppose he could always get an honorary degree from somewhere . . .
It’s not as if journalists who had a cow over Palin’s education impress me with their education. Political Correctness 101 doesn’t impress. I have a degree, in a discipline which doesn’t represent basket weaving expertise - but that doesn’t make me presidential timber. The education it represents - along with work experience and a lot of post-graduate Freeping - makes me comfortable that I understand the pro’s and cons of the global warming debate better than my brother’s PhD brother-in-law does, tho . . .
