Even the black waiters/waitresses didn’t want to wait on other blacks.

One solution: say "no tipping" on the menu, raise prices 15%, pay the waiters a salary.

Of course, those who refuse to tip would then refuse to pay the higher prices either, and just go to other places, and not tip there.

“In other words, the government should be able to require you to put your business in a certain location.”

Don’t get me started. I’m still upset that a government, any government, can tell a business who they can and can’t serve!

Liberals in general don’t tip well... there was an old FreeRepublic post that has some interesting research on tipping habits.

“If I walk into a restaurant and get treated like crap because of the behavior of people who look like me, how is that not prejudice?”

You have just asked the question which the leftist and most of the Black communities do not want to be answered with an honest reply.

It is prejudice, but it is the same type of prejudice that people of all races who have been threatened by an abusive law enforcement officer feel towards any police officer they do not know and cannot trust. It is the same kind of prejudice any Black person feels towards a growling pit bull dog or yappy Chihuahua dog they do not know or trust. It is the same prejudice any person has towardds another person or an object whichcaan be grouped among people or objects that have given good reason not to be trusted. Trust is a courtesy that may be freely given or not desite ggod cause to not do so, but it is also a courtesy which can be forfeited for good and/or bad reasons.

Anyone of any racee can ask themselves whether or not they would trust their property and/or the personal safety of themselves and their families among a community of people who would commit the acts you see in the video about the Los Angeles riots? In the communities where i come from, people do not act like that. On the contrary, the people in my community would be carrying firearms and doing all they can to defend the lives and property against such looting and destruction, if any insiders or outsiders attempted to commit such acts. In other words, such behavior is not only intolerable among my communities, they are too alien to eveen be comprehensible. We do not steal. We do not loot. We have no sympathy whatsoever for people who commit such acts no matter what their race may be. It’s simply wrong. Consequently, any person who can be recognized for whatevere reason good or bad as being capable of such misconduct is naturally going to be suspected of being a potential threat to be avoided.

There are a great many people in prisons who will be reasonably good towards some other peop,le when they are released from prison. Once you encounter ex-convicts in the general public, how do you know which ex-convicts can and cannot be trusted with your property and/or the lives of your family and yourself? When a Black person travels to East los Angeles, how does that Black person know which Hispanic illegal immigrants can and cannot be trusted with your safety on the street?

Trust is something that must be earned by individuals and by groups of people, because trust is not something the government can issue like food stamps or printed like scrip currencies.

These chain restaurants are going to turn down potentially profitable revenue streams because a problem that can be easily solved with a mandatory tip policy?

You do it in one you must do it in all.

Or else you're.... ah heck, you know.

That is the same reason employers can not check out an applicant who's papers appear a bit dogie. If you run a background check on one and you don't on every applicant then you open your business up to lawsuits.

If I may ask, what state was this in?

Um, it might be that the town is just too small.
4988 total population - 65% black.
Being right next door to Chicago Heights doesn’t help.
I took a drive through there many years ago, just to say I was in Illinois. It looked dangerous.

There are 10 restaurants according to Mapquest. 2 Gyro places, 2 Fish & Chicken places, Dunkin Donuts, Subway, McDonalds, oops, make that 9...Geo Soul closed last year....

It’s black crime. A “mixed” community is code for section eight housing mixed in with normal housing. When the balance shifts to section eight housing, the ghetto culture and crime is overwhelming and money scrams.
