LAS VEGAS, April 19, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Mayors Against Illegal Guns announced today that concerned Nevadans will gather with Mayors Against Illegal Guns, ProgressNow Nevada, and veteran and gun owner Johnathan L. Abbinett on Saturday for a "Shame on You" protest against Senator Dean Heller, who voted with the Washington gun lobby and against the 90 percent of Nevadans who support commonsense, life-saving background checks for all gun sales.

This week Senator Heller was among those who voted against bipartisan legislation proposed by Senators Joe Manchin and Pat Toomey that would have closed the loopholes that make it easy for criminals and dangerous people to get guns.

Event details are below.

Las Vegas What: "Shame on You" Protest on Senator Heller's Office Who: Johnathan L. Abbinett, veteran and gun owner Joel Bridgeman, Mayors Against Illegal Guns Nevada Field Director Brian Fadie, Executive Director of ProgressNow Nevada When: Saturday, April 20 at 11 AM Where: Senator Heller's Office, Lloyd D. George Building, 333 Las Vegas Boulevard South, Suite 8016

About Mayors Against Illegal Guns Since its creation in April 2006, Mayors Against Illegal Guns has grown from 15 members to more than 900 mayors from across the country. We have more than 1.5 million grassroots supporters, making us the largest gun violence prevention advocacy organization in the country. The bipartisan coalition, co-chaired by New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg and Boston Mayor Thomas Menino, has united the nation's mayors around these common goals: protecting communities by holding gun offenders accountable; demanding access to crime gun trace data that is critical to law enforcement efforts to combat gun trafficking; and working with legislators to fix weaknesses and loopholes in the law that make it far too easy for criminals and other dangerous people to get guns. uh, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) also voted against it. Even if it was for procedural purposes, the day before he said he would vote his conscience.

No, really, that’s ok. No bad on your part.

I take every opportunity I find to inform folks of the twisted crap the neo-communists spew.

It appears that the 90% BS will be spewed for quite some time so the more folks see the explanation of what they did, the better the odds that some mouthy communist sympathizer talking head will sound off in front of someone that is ready for them.

And then the spanking will commence...
