The Boy Scouts of America on Friday moved to partially lift its long-standing ban on gays, with a decision that would allow openly gay youth members but continue to bar gay adults in one of the largest youth serving organizations in America. If the resolution is approved in a nationwide vote in May, "no youth may be denied membership in the Boy Scouts of America on the basis of sexual orientation or preference alone," Deron Smith, the organization´s spokesman, told Reuters. Wouldn’t a scout having sexual relations when not married be a conflict of the “morally straight” pledge?

This Rooters story is hogwash, in that the “executive committee” of the Boy Scouts has two corporate tools on board, each of whom seriously back the homosexual agenda to the full extreme.
They have pressured the Scouts from within by offering huge amounts of money if they just sell their souls. But if they refuse, then the corporations they represent will cut them off.
And while they me able to bribe, threaten or coerce the executive committee, there is still going to be a nationwide vote in May. At that time, I hope that most likely when this is defeated, the next motion is to expel these two degenerates from not just the executive committee but from Scouting itself.
There was a serious vetting problem in them being able to get those positions in the first place, which they likely did by greasing some palms. But everyone associated with them, who “bears their mark on their forehead” needs to be sliced out like a tumor.

The rank and file in scouting is dominated by conservative church sects. I don't think they will get it past them. But they do have to go through the motions.
FWIW, unless scouting has changed dramatically since I was involved (both as a youth and as an adult leader), there is nothing that even asks about a boy's sexual orientation.
A gay inclined boy would have no problem getting into the organization as long as he can meet the "morally straight" requirements. Those who don't care to do so have no more business joining the B.S.A. than a heterosexual pervert or pothead.
B.S.A. is an organization designed to turn boys into useful and productive young men. It is not a baby sitting club to turn useless punks into street thugs. The government sponsors gangs for that purpose.
This is step 1.
Step 2 will be: “They’ve been in scouting their whole lives, and now they want to give back to the organization, but they’re denied.”
It’s the foot inside the door.
How would you handle a gay youth as part of a church youth group? I think I’d handle it the same as a gay adult. Sure, you are more than welcome to attend our church. However, as with any Christian, joining requires renouncing sin, and leading requires being above reproach.
