The IRS will shut down entirely for five days this year in order to try to meet its slimmed-down budget under the sequesters, a labor union that represents Treasury Department employees said on Friday. The IRS will close its doors on May 24, June 14, July 5, July 22 and Aug. 30, and employees are being told there could be two other days as well. A good start.
How bout 100 years?
How does a 2% cut in the rate of growth cause all of these dire consequences? Someone is lying.
It won’t really shut down. Just the incompetents who answer the public’s questions.
so why is the white house still having concerts, and fancy dinners while the self professed royal family closes our house to us which we pay for?
Close down AF1 and 2,unless it’s business and flying to Boston was not needed after all he read a speech written by someone else and also stop all their vacations, fancy dinners, concerts etc.
Kick her Chicago family out and let them pay for their own meals, toilet roll etc.
I vote for 365 days a year.
You don’t think they’ll actually do it AFTER your refund check is issued, do you?
These shutdowns are a lot of cr** because they will all get paid for this vacation once the government reopens....the old rob peter to pay paul.
This is frightening. I hope that counselors will be available for those of us most affected....
I see all those dates are Fridays. Gives them a 3 day weekend.
Operational Shut Down: Defined is Government speak: Authorized leave with pay.
They waited until after they sent out 99.9% of the free earned income tax credit money and the refundable child tax credit money to the illegal aliens and welfare bums.
Now if we could just get them shut down for the other 360... :-)
What about leap years?
Wow - the sequester got extra paid holidays for the IRS?
It goes without saying that women and children taxpayers will be hardest hit.
