Something does not make sense to me:
How did the FBI not review their own files of all known possible terrorists living in Boston? I would have thought that by Tuesday they would have already reviewed his file and questioned him. It’s an obvious first place to look.
I am no FBI expert, but this seems so obvious to me. Am I missing something?
Did you forget FBI training must be cleared with CAIR?
And INS would have had their pictures since they had permanent resident status. You would think that they would have tried to match that photo database against the photos they had of the two -- including photos better than the ones they released to the public which they apparently had.
But they may have had a more complex motivation -- releasing the pictures got everybody looking for them. But finding them from their pictures wouldn't have been hard - the kid had the equivalent to a facebook page after all in Russia. You'd think the FBI could find that.
