Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker surges to top of GOP 2016 list
Washington Examiner ^ | April18, 2013 | Paul Bedard

He doesn't get the attention of the Sunday talk shows, or Washington's political elite, but the Midwest's dragon slayer, Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker, is emerging in some Republican circles as the surprising favorite to win the GOP nomination for president in 2016.

Untainted by scandal, far from Washington's voter-frustrating gridlock, and reinvigorated by his victory over foes who staged a recall vote, the conservative Walker is also viewed as the best candidate to sop up the Midwest white vote which, had Mitt Romney done better there, would have catapulted him into the Oval Office.

But the best part in the eyes of the University of Virginia's Larry Sabato: "If Walker were to become the Republican presidential nominee, Democrats will have helped it happen." That's because they drove the recent losing recall effort out of anger Walker was cracking down on public unions.

Fuggedaboudit! It's Jeb's or Khristie Kreme's turn.

If the GOPe even entertain the thought of running Jeb or fat@$$, the party is finished. Hell, Biden would win against either of those two. Bush is a tainted name and is toxic now, fat@$$ will not turn out a single Conservative voter - bank it!

There are two people that I think would be great for the top job. Gov. Walker is one of them. Both my favorites are tough, "get things done" kind of people. Both are hated by the libs- as in libs with real anger problems. They both have spines that the GOPers can only dream about. My other choice has a different style than Walker. However when it comes to results, they are both pretty good. My other choice has a bit more charisma and more fun to watch in action.

What are Scott Walker’s views on global trade please?

Particularly our in-balance with Asia.

Thanks.

Jebby has the inside track as the sacrificial lamb for Hillary in 2016.

George W. Bush looks a lot better after what went down in Boston this week, and there’s a very high probability we’re so far behind now that there will be repeats all over the map.

No snow left, but it’s been COLD. Next week, we may have night time temps above freezing, so that’ll help! Sun is shining today, but gone again tomorrow. :(

I’m working on setting up my Nursery Yard at work, today. Me and my guys are making great progress.

Pansies, cool-weather herbs and veggies for sale, so far. This upcoming week is Hell Week - semi load after semi load of lovelies from all over the USA. (I like that the best, actually!)

Bare Root Room is in full swing. Check us out:

I’ll withhold judgment until he explicitly outlines his position on Amnesty.

Creating 11 million new Democrats does not help the Conservative cause.

What floored me was that they earned so much money AFTER their taxpayer funding was reduced. I’d like to know where they invest it.

I like Walker. I just hope he doesn’t catch Potomac fever, as have Chris Christie and Bob McDonnell.

What are Scott Walker’s views on global trade please?

Google: Madison– Governor Scott Walker announced the opening of the Wisconsin Center China to give Wisconsin businesses expanded access to growing markets. The center officially opened today in conjunction with Governor Walker’s Trade Mission to China. Four agreements of intent were signed in conjunction with the opening ceremony. “This trade center strengthens our relationship with China and provides Wisconsin businesses the resources and assistance to pursue export opportunities in this growing market,” Governor Walker said. “Through the years, Wisconsin has built a strong trade relationship with China, and the opening of the Wisconsin Center China will help Wisconsin businesses continue to strengthen our trade relationships and grow export opportunities.”

There is not much about this subject, but it seems that Walker is a free trader looking for export opportunities with China to help with the imbalance.

I'll bet the guy doesn't even have a tattoo.

You say that like most people have one, surely that is not so.
