The FBI was last night hunting a 12-strong terrorist “sleeper cell” linked to the Boston marathon bomb brothers.
Police believe Tamerlan and Dzhokhar Tsarnaev were specially trained to carry out the devastating attack.
More than 1,000 FBI agents were last night working to track down the cell and arrested a man and two women 60 miles from Boston in the hours before Dzhokhar’s dramatic capture after a bloody shootout on Friday.
A source close to the investigation said: “We have no doubt the brothers were not acting alone. The devices used to detonate the two bombs were highly sophisticated and not the kind of thing people learn from Google.
“They were too advanced. Someone gave the brothers the skills and it is now our job to find out just who they were. Agents think the sleeper cell has up to a dozen members and has been waiting several years for their day to come.”

No matter how simple the questions, and how early in the investigation those things are found, the investigators would prefer that what they’re finding out, not leak out.
The uncles who live here seem to have lost contact with their nephews. There seems to be some kind of family estrangement. The father lives in Russia. Somebody said the mother lives there too, but at some point she was here because apparently she shoplifted from the Lord and Taylor dept. store, the same that had the security camera and all the important crowd photos at the Marathon.
The suspect is hospitalized and was in pretty poor shape when they took him into custody.
The older brother is dead.
I mention these things to say, I’m not sure who knows what, who is available to talk, that the investigators are talking with.
But if for example the uncles know anything about how they were supported monetarily, or anything else that might be key, could be they have been ordered by investigators interviewing them not to talk about the case.
Bottom line, I’ve heard nothing so far about how they obtained money. I’m certain, though that it would be a prime subject to investigate.
Maybe we can send Heraldo to root them out of their hideouts or vaults...lol
My mistake. Apparently the carjack victim was white. It was the guy who reported the carjacking who was Arab.
Maybe someone trained one on the bomb but the escape part of their op was pure fubar. They had to knock over a 7-11 to get money to escape. A competent crew would have monies, transport, and options in place. A competent well trained crew would not have paraded their faces under 1000s of cameras and then panicked when their faces were on every tv in the world. The actual bomb and plan was good, but one of the bombs went off light. The staggering of the detonations was good as was the use ofshrapnel aimed to maim. All that made one think of comtetent terrorists, but what followed was rank amateur behavior.
The biggest sleeper cell in the US is the university professoriate - my niece goes to Arizona State U and her father told me this is what her professor said:
“She said in class the day after the Boston bombing that everyone should stop making a big deal out of it, that people die in other countries every day and we don’t care about it, and she mocked the statements and gestures of solidarity that people were making such as flying the Red Sox banner at Yankee stadium.”

The big worry is if this sleeper cell hooked up with Syrian or Libyan terrorists, they could have WMD (chemical, biological, local dirty nuke components).
I posted an essay written by a woman who was a client of the mother of the two terrorists, one of whom was married and had a child btw, the mother carried on a beauty therapy business from her home. In Boston. The father lives in Russia. But there are uncles and other family members in Boston in considerable numbers.
If so that’s great. They should be explained by officials however.
simplistically, the article assumes the brother’s had coaching to build some very sophisticated device. They could have been supplied the electronics, the rest was arts and crafts, plug and play.

Well, the ‘officials’ have already lie blatantly, saying they were not running a drill when the bombs went off, but a running coach from South Alabama has told what he hear at the event and saw simultaneous tot he terrorist attack. So I don’t hink ‘officials’ are going to be truthful regarding their ‘drill’, do you? They were running ‘a drill’ in NY on 911. They were running a drill when ... oh never mind.
The ‘underwear bomber’ had a father who was one of the wealthiest men in Nigeria, a Banker, who had advised the Administration on the principles of sharia banking, the cell that apprently used him as a stooge bought his return ticket in Accra, Ghana. He thought he would be coming back!
He pled guilty. We never heard any evidence. The bomb didn’t do what it was designed to do, but he’s silenced as well as if it did. You’ll never hear who was behind that.
