BATTLEFIELD USA: De Facto State of Martial Law Declared In Boston *Pics From the War Zone*
SHTF Plan ^ | April 19th, 2013 | Mac Slavo

As news of last night’s incident in Watertown, Massachusetts spread, police from all over the North East converged, once again, on Boston. Along with them were elements of the National Guard and U.S. military.

Though an official announcement has not been made, and likely will not be made, the entire Boston metropolitan area is now in complete lock-down in what can only be described as a de facto state of martial law.

By all accounts, law enforcement and military personnel have classified Boston and surrounding towns a war-zone, especially after a gunfight yesterday evening that left one of the Boston Marathon Bombers dead and the other still at large. In a video of the early morning engagement, rapid gunfire and explosive detonations, believed to be more ‘pressure cooker’ bombs, can be heard as police and residents scrambled.

This has led to shelter-in-place orders being issued by officials, a widespread militarization of nearly a hundred square miles surrounding Boston, and deserted streets throughout the city.

Military personnel have reportedly been patrolling streets, performing door-to-door searches, and defusing or detonating suspected explosive devices.

Section 1031 of the controversial National Defense Authorization Act of 2012 effectively declares the United States a battlefield, suspends the U.S. Constitution and essentially allows the President, through the Department of Homeland Security and the U.S. military, to deploy assets in this war zone as he sees fit:

“I have to wonder how accurate the term “police state” or “millitary state” is, seems to be more like a “sheep state” as we make the gtovernment the farmer and we all become sheep grazing away until we are sheared on an annual basuis and then eventually taken to the processing plant to be culled (Obama death Panels)....”

yep “take care of me from womb to tomb oh Big Government, please, be our Idi Amin DaDa”..............is the mantra from the idiot populace

I take some comfort knowing I could ‘shelter in place’ if need be. Rudimentary prepping, situational awareness, home protection of my own help make that happen. That..and a large dog :-). I need to do a better job with my auto, though...you can’t always be at home when these things occur. I’m interested in doing a better job of prepping for on the road and or, when traveling to other states/locales.

We have become a nation of cowards instead of a nation of fighers!

What do you expect when the majority of voters are women?

Govt got in some practice, and determined that the sheeple will obey.

Two muslim animals did not CAUSE the martial law in all but name. The government caused it. Two muslim animals (and then just one) were merely the ostensible reason given.

I want a complete listing of all of the military, police, and various federal armed agencies with number of personnel and weapons involved. I can readily find this for any military action 70 years ago in 5 minutes. I also want the home base of each unit involved. Perhaps a freedom of information order could be used.

Maybe he’s the guy who decided to climb over the 7-foot gate instead of just pushing it open and walking through like the next guy did.

The last I saw, one suspect was dead, the second was captured, and the police are gone.

All the money spent on armored vehicles, body armor, machine guns (REAL ONES), etc. and these guys couldn’t find ONE GUY in a 20 block area THEY “SEARCHED”.

Yes - did the police or FBI ever use dogs to trail Chechen bomber#2? I never saw photos of dogs in this very well photographed saga.

Using blood tracking dogs would be a no-brainer ... esp after police found plenty of the suspect's blood on the ground from the earlier firefight. I heard a police official say they "weren't sure" if it was the suspect's blood - but that's no reason not to track it, even if they hadn't had time to get a definitive DNA profile.

Why hasn't anyone in the MSM raised these questions yet?

Rhetorical question. We know the answer ... MSM are too willing to go along with Boston's self-congratulatory mode -- too willing to try to put a celebratory face on this, too willing to not ask the hard questions, since the bombers turned out not to be Tea Party members.

They're going along with with Obama's vapid "they picked the wrong city" and "Boston is tough!" theme. Enough already.

I must say, the huge amount of force, weapons and tanks...

A definition of "tank" includes that it be a tracked vehicle. No such thing was evident in the pictures in the article. Let's leave the rhetoric to the other folks, shall we, and just deal in the facts.

FACT: at most, the black police vehicle with a gunner's hatch is an armored personnel carrier and that would be stretching the term.

FACT: the military Humvees appear to have been up-armored, based on the windows/doors. However, I could see no weapons on any of the military personnel. How does this qualify for "martial law" if the military is deployed without weapons?

>>Can this be considered a violation of the Posse comitatus Act,<<

Right? If not, it certainly blurs the line.

That pic is so funny. This was used in a political advertisement during Carly Fiorina’s campaign.

She used to be the CEO of Hewlett Packard. Creepy political ad.

“How does this qualify for “martial law” if the military is deployed without weapons?”

According to the Supreme Court, the term martial law carries no precise meaning (Duncan v. Kahanamoku, 327 U.S. 304, 66 S. Ct. 606, 90 L. Ed. 688 [1946]).

I define it as government use of force to control the population. “Shelter in Place” has become the cute name liberals use for “Martial Law”.

THE MAN got lucky this time...in that others from their clan didn’t join in. Had they done that, we would have seen REAL martial law, probably with real bullets in those police assault rifles too.

Interesting SC cite — thanks for that piece of info.

Shelter in place as martial law wrapped in a kinder, gentler label - I think you’re onto something there.
