US committed to providing non-lethal aid to Syria opposition

US Secretary of State John Kerry says the US will double its non-lethal assistance to Syria's opposition as the rebels' top supporters vowed to enhance and expand their backing of the two-year battle to oust President Bashar Assad's regime. The additional aid, which brings total non-lethal US assistance to the opposition to $250 million since the fighting began, highlighted the United States' support for a political solution to the crisis in Syria, Mr Kerry said.

Anyone still think that the House controls the purse strings.

The House is a joke. The Congress is a joke, and our Secretary of State traitor is a joke,

Americans have to "suffer because of sequestration" - so Syrian Islamists can thrive.
Does anyone else see anything wrong with this picture?

Our government is helping Islam build a Muslim caliphate. After it destroys Israel, it will come after us - and oboma will see to it we're broke, our military weak and queer, and the American people are without self defense (he'll have bought up all the ammo).
I believe oboma has declared Jihad on America. We're seeing more and more proof of it every day.

and now every jihadist faction on Earth appears to be fighting inside Syria, or recruiting proxies (as Iran has done, training Syrian thugs and employing the Hizzies from jihadist occupied Lebanon), all fighting each other.

Good.....Let 'em all kill each other and let Allah sort it out.

"It’s a short excerpt, because the source is AP (better safe than sorry."

It's short, but incomplete. Obama is providing aid to the Sunni Muslim Brotherhood. Syria is still being controlled by Shia Iran. This is the execution of a war for Muslim world dominance, a renewed caliphate, as confirmed by Muslim Brotherhood Prime Minister of Egypt, who we installed, just as Jimmy Carter installed Khomeini in Iran, and confirmed by Erdohan, Turkey's prime minister. This is also also the assertion of Sunni supremacy over the region, discouraging Iran from renewing the millennial war with Sunni and their Saudi financiers.

One should not ever lose site of Percy Sutton's critical bit of information, that Obama’s patron, beginning at least with Occidental College, was Prince Alwaleed bin-Talal, whose offices funded the Muslim Brotherhood, all US Mosques and Madrases, and who, according to Vernon Jarrett in 1979, Valerie's father-in-law, was funding an education program, obviously Wahabbi, for US black and Hispanic youths. Since Wahhabis limit education for women, it was for black and Hispanic males. He also provided 20 million dollars to Harvard, about when Obama was admitted, and later founded the Alwaleed bin-Talal Center for Islamic Studies at Harvard, and then at Georgetown, Cambridge, and American University.

Don't forget Hillary's right hand, former Muslim Brotherhood employee, along with her whole family, Huma Abedin, or Muslim convert while CIA Station Chief in Riyadh, John Brennan, now Director of the CIA. We are the Muslim Brotherhood, who killed and maimed last week in Boston. It is probably no coincidence that the Al-Habri scion was at the scene of Chechen operatives last week. They are funded by the Saudis, and needn't soil their royal robes while financing the Koranic invocation to "Destroy the unbelievers."

The most effective of the jihadist militias has joined with Al-Qaeda, and that’s the main reason for the sudden doubling of US aid and the training assistance in Jordan for the previously crumbling FSA, as well as the renewed moves in Europe to officially lift the arms embargo.

Arms have been shipping to the various militias from various sources, including the Gulf (of course) and eastern Europe. The ethnic jihadist gangs which have arrived get their arms and ammo from whatever source their homeland uses.

It’s interesting and informative that Qatar and the Kingdom support different factions; the Turks were aligned with Qatar, which is the reason Kerry and Obama have been intercoursing Israel (the apology); the Turks’ main concern was the rapidity of the collapse of their former budding alliance with Iran.

Iran played Erdogan and got him diplomatically and militarily isolated, then when Syria blew up, revived ties with Russia — Turkey’s major enemy, historically — and immediately started massive aid to Syria, including troops ( last year already) both Iranian and Hizbullah proxies. Syria is obviously disintegrating, and Turkey doesn’t want another Lebanon, particularly one with a common border.

It’s already too late to stop that.

The Turks will have to deal fairly with the Kurds now, because they’ll need both a new ally and a buffer state against the various fellow bloodthirsty Muzzie despotates (Syria, Iraq, perhaps eventually Iran), and will have to make a series of additional politically suicidal moves — rapprochement with Israel, EU-acceptable concessions on Cyprus (TRNC), improved relations with Greece.

Sending them the US Congress would qualify as casus belli. If Ted Kennedy were still alive, casus jelli belli.

That’s the best possible outcome — but would be even better if the battlefield shifted east a few hundred miles, into Iran. I’m sure it will, but may take a few years.

We wanted to give them lethal aid, but it had already been shipped to Egypt.

"None of that is in the original article."

So? Do you have a problem with concerned citizens helping others to understand the context? You didn't ask for references for anything I said?

Plenty of money for Syria while Obama fires Marines and cuts the finest defense force on Planet Earth - even as terrorists blast Boston and North Korea boasts of incipient nuclear attacks.

Astounding.

The level of contrarian stupidity of this administration leaves one absolutely breathless.
