Obama Still Not Scheduled to Visit West, Texas
WH Dossier ^ | 4-22-2013 | Keith Koffler

Posted on 04/22/2013 6:48:04 AM PDT by Sir Napsalot

President Obama is still not scheduled to visit the devastated community of West, Texas, where an explosion at a fertilizer plant five days ago killed 14 – including 11 emergency responders – and wounded approximately 200 people.

Up to 75 homes were damaged, as well as an apartment complex that was decimated.

Obama so far has sent prayers and money to the town, but not himself.

(snip)

He will have ample opportunity. The president, along with First Lady Michelle Obama, will be in Texas two days this week, heading to Dallas Wednesday for a Democratic National Committee fundraiser and then remaining in the city overnight.

On Thursday, he is scheduled to attend the dedication ceremony for the George W. Bush Presidential Center in Dallas.

But he may be on a tight schedule as he is supposed to attend the Planned Parenthood Gala in Washington Thursday evening.

I wish W hadn’t invited the pos to his Presidential Library opening. We don’t need his smelly rear end in Texas.

Picture that smarmy laugh...
Now,
remember how he tossed off GovPerry’s comments by saying;

‘Why should I listen to this guy, half his state is on fire’

HE SMILED AND CHUCKLED
at the Bastrop fires.

I’m serious.
HE HAS NO EMPATHY.
NPD.

0 is a loathsome creature.

who’d want his visit? It would only end up costing the community zillions of dollars in security costs and the White House wouldn’t pay it

His last foray into the land of the electoral red map was to Cushing OK to stand in a pipe yard to discuss the KeystoneXL pipeline. It was poorly attended by both politicos (mostly R in OK) and regular folks. I suspect he doesn’t really want a repeat performance.

Good. I am (we are) counting on Texans to give him the same welcome, at West, TX, if he showed up.

Respectful for the Office, but not the man.

Obama is too preocccupied to visit West, Texas. Obama is getting ready to cozy up to the surviving Boston Marathon bomber. Shucks.....lots to do.....get him a Koran, a prayer blanket, a soccer field, a special diet, let him pray five times a day, an air-condtioned cell with a 50’ flat screen TV, maybe even a personal visit with Michelle Obama, etc. Actually, Mr. POTUS Obama, the folks in West, Texas want nothing to do with you, we Texans are taking good care of our kind of folks!!! You didn’t give one hoot about us last week.....so....please stay away, and continue coddling to your beloved Muslim Brotherhood brethren!!!

It’s not about the people in West, it’s about Obama and his agenda. If he can’t use the tragedy to push his agenda, he won’t waste his time. It’s probably best for the community not to be used like the people in Newtown.

Watched the reports live via internet links from here.
As far as the larger “media that be” is concerned, a major tragedy in Texas wasn’t “important” enough last week. Could it be a political/regional bias? Naw, couldn’t be...

I saw a report that 10 of the dead were first responders.

So no reason for Obama to go--not "his people." Not big donors.

I don’t blame him. Those kind of folks don’t take kindly to an enemy of the U.S. setting foot on their land.

I truly wish that the POTUS would cut that nonsense out.

Because the presidents have taken on so many authorities not authorized them by the constitution, for them to waste their time visiting disasters, throwing out baseballs, attending shopping center openings, etc., is almost criminal.

Mind you, their doing such things is not by themselves bad. But doing them when they have *work* to do is horrible.

The solution is to strip much of the unconstitutional authority from the office of the president. Here’s a basic list of where to start.

1) Ask congress to restore the presidential proclamation to being solely for honorarium mentions, not seizing for the federal government endless amounts of state lands. Oh, and yes, returning the vast majority of these takings to the states as *their* property.

2) Discontinue the extremely unconstitutional practices of presidential signing statements, executive orders that in effect create new laws, appointments not approved by the US senate as “Czars”, violations of the War Powers Act and the Posse Comitatus Act. Ask for congress to create a strict definition of what executive communications can be protected via executive privilege.

3) Ask congress to create permanent committees that can fire any federal employee for misconduct, even if they have a protected government service status. Request that these committees hold hearings for impeachment of cabinet officers when they are petitioned to do so by majority votes of the top committees. Finally that the committees are permanent committees for referrals of contempt of congress.

Sounds like it is likely that firearms were lost in the tragedy in West, TX.

Maybe Eric H0lder can replace those (he should go into Mexico and recover the gov't firearms shipped there.)?
