I wonder how someone like this gets to be a school official and be so ignorant of the law. I have often wondered why these articles never mention the name of the moron who threatened the parents.

IMHO, the HSLDA needs to select a tyrant or two for a counter civil suit and make an example of them for others to see.
I applaud HSLDA (I’m a “lifer”) for their ongoing defense of homeschooling families, but I think a little offense would prevent a lot of unnecessary defense.
“Oh, I better understand the law before I go after this homeschool family, because I don’t want to lose my house like that guy over in XYZ state.”
