In the America we grew up in, Left was Marxist and Right was Free Market. Meanwhile in Europe, Left was International Communist and Right was Nationalist Socialist (but not necessarily National Socialist).
America is now using the European paradigm. The GOP is just the nationalist version of Democrat’s transnationalists. Their goals are the same, but they disagree on methods only. Neither political party represents the free market and individual freedom in in the US.

Even if they were vulnerable, they’re not in our society. They are full citizens of a nearby country with the 8th largest economy in the world. (for the most part).
