MOBILE, Ala (WALA) - The Mobile Fire and Rescue Department said two were injured when two barges previously loaded with liquid natural gas exploded and caught fire. Officials said units are on scene on the east side of Mobile River.
Lt. Mike Clawson said two natural gas barges exploded, the first occurring around 8:30 p.m at 200 Dunlap Drive.
It happened between the Bankhead tunnel and waterways; not near Triumph Cruise Ship.
Members of the Coast Guard are on the scene investigation the cause.

Were there any guns on the barges? Did the barges have a permit? Were the barges captained by a tea-party member? Will the moocher be visiting the barges?
The article says it is not near there...but that would be pretty darned funny if it were ( as long as nobody got hurt.)

I always thought natural gas was carried in containers as compressed natural gas (CNG). Propane is in a liquid state when in a tank.
