But she had no problem bashing him at the time it happened.

Where is her rant against Obie for Sandy? Spike Lee?

Silence.

If she had the integrity to express outrage over Gosnell, I might start giving her credibility. I might miss the mark here, but the black community is seething over this amnesty bill and some of the leaders are letting the Congressional Black Caucus know about it. By praising President Bush, Brazile is doing a back door criticism of Obama, and it is a way to let him know that there is more coming if he insists on pushing this nonsense.

What I hate about Bush-bashers is they don’t understand him.
Texans who ‘grew up’ with him know when he’s being sarcastic, and when he’s ferociously angry.

I wish the worst possible fate for Kanye West.

Most of the real problems were caused by Nagin and Blanco. But of course neither will ever get their deserved credit for their shortcomings in the Katrina debacle.

Of course this fraud couldn't have admitted as much when Bush the Bungler was the democrat meme.

She likely wrote this now because the left needs to use Bush to push some agenda item or other. Like when the left says nice things about Reagan its usually to twist some statistic in their favor or bash conservatives.

There's no good in a democrat hack.

I wish the worst possible fate for Kanye West.

Such as a continued relationship with Kim Kardashian and her family?

Look what it did for Lamar Odom! That is one wussified brotha.

...she was at the lead bashing W after three days (Katrina)....but was silent while Odungo waited 42 days to respond to the BP blow out. “Make it Hurt” goes back a long ways with Odungo, about 21 vacations ago.

Since the establishment wants to run Jeb, it will now be necessary to rehabilitate George.

Watch for it.

I don’t think most people understand the proper role of FEMA.

It is not their job to run the rescue. That belongs to the state and local authorities. Their job is just to coordinate access to federal assets. FEMA people were pre-deployed just outside the storm area and were on the ground right away. Navy and Coast Guard units rode out the storm just offshore and were there before the wind stopped blowing.

In other words, the feds did their job. It was the state and city folks who imploded and ultimately forced Bush to federalize it. Once federalized, it went as it ought to.

It should be noted that neighboring states offered National Guard units to Louisiana, though these were refused and Louisiana’s own National Guard units were also refused permission to enter the storm zone. Neighboring states were just as hard hit as Louisiana but did not suffer the sheer incompetence that we saw in New Orleans.

Why do I think this is simply intended to aid the next staged show piece election where Jeb Bush runs against Hillary Clinton and we get Clintonistas Revisited in 2016?

Ironically the RATS and the MSN are actually having to start buttressing up the Bushes (instead of bashing them constantly)to put that piece of election entertainment in place.

When RAT insiders start saying something nice about REPUBs you have to ask how it is they are planning to use them.

I’ve never had any love for Donna Brazile, but I’ll give her credit for this one, even if it is several years after the fact. Yes, she was right out there with the rest of the Dems bashing Bush at the time, but at least she’s now acknowledging that he did a lot more for the people impacted by Katrina then most people give him credit for doing. I doubt if any other Democrat will be willing to concede this point, even at this late date.

Exactly correct, I am not a big fan of George Bush, but he was utterly blameless for the mess in N.O.

New Orleans is un-fixable. The only way Bush could have really helped would have been to take over the city with the National Guard/military-clean it out-and start bulldozing everything that flooded. Anything else would have been-and has been- a waste of time and resources.
The local politicians only cared that they not lose any power. Now they’re putting makeup on a corpse. ALL of the pipes underground are broken and leaking, the levees are seeping at the lakefront and here comes hurricane season.

But damned if they’re not ‘festing’every week and luring people into crime ridden streets!Dancing on the Titanic...

You have the situation exactly right. The smearing of Bush over Katrina (and “Brownie” too), is a powerful testament to the media’s ability to rewrite history and ruin reputations. FEMA was doing it’s job. But then the Democrats decided to change FEMA’s job in mid flood.
