It's been a productive week, thanks. Today, as it happens was another story. Our Project Manager left for several days to attend a family function out West. This morning, his fill-in showed up and informed us that the priorities had changed overnight. (Not her fault - the client is apparently hallucinating.)

The batches of documents we had been working on yesterday were gone and new batches were in their place. The new batches, for reasons that I will not bore you with, were fatally flawed. We proceeded to work on these for about a half-hour, when we were informed that we were to cease working on them and to go back to other batches that we had been pulled off of about a week ago. We proceeded with those and about an hour later, we were pulled off of them, and directed to go back to the batches we had been pulled off of earlier.

These batches had by now been repaired, and we worked on them for about an hour. We were then pulled off these batches again, and put to work on another set of batches that had been newly formed. By now it was almost noon. I went to lunch.

Returning, I started working on these batches, and finally, we were not diverted again during the course of the day. We had a term for this kind of exercise in the service. It was something about a "circle." I think you know the rest!
