I was amazed to learn that the earth’s supply of helium is slowly disappearing into space. It is lighter than air, and so escapes the atmosphere when it is used, and it is fairly rare. It made me think twice about wasting it on a balloon.

There is still new Helium being discovered all the time...

"Helium is commercially recovered from natural gas deposits, mostly from Texas, Oklahoma and Kansas."

"The earth's atmospheric helium is replaced by the decay of radioactive elements in the earth's crust."
