At the Government Appliance Store year 2020:
Salesman: Excuse me maam, you cannot buy that without a license.
Customer: What? Its just a toaster
Salesman: But it is a six slice toaster. It has high-capacity toasting capability. That is a military grade toaster. No one needs a toaster that size. Perhaps I could interest you in an egg timer instead?
Customer: But my family likes toast, just like my forefathers liked toast. I need a six slice toaster. I dont need an egg timer.

I have a two piece toaster AND a toaster oven. And, I have an oven that works outside with a small canister of propane. And, I have a small heater safe to use inside that uses a small canister of propane. Please don't tell anyone how dangerous my household is.

And toasters aren’t even protected by the United States Constitution and its Bill of Rights.

“I lost all my toasters in a boating accident.”
Some people wouldn’t understand that it’s important to make toast in a boat, but we understand that is necessary, right?
