Exactly. But she is 15 and too young to be in charge of her sex life. They will fall in love and try to do these things and we must attempt to stop them. It didn’t always work throughout history or now.

But the schmuck who should be with another adult? He’s old enough to be fully responsible. I’m glad we don’t have to pay for his three squares, air conditioning, and full medical. Thanks, Mom.

He was 17, probably still in high school, for pete’s sake. Most states have laws that make a 17 year old dating a 15 year old perfectly legal.

I guess the holier than thou crowd around here never heard of a sophomore dating a senior before, but it happens all the time in the real world.

While I understand the mother’s feelings and reaction, I don’t agree that 15 is too young...the writer Laura Ingalls Wilder was married at fifteen. It was common for young women of 15 and 16 to get married throughout history.

I've been told all my life that girls are more mature than boys by three years. I never heard the Nags from NOW dispute that. So the "too young' bit doesn't fly here.
