Don’t believe this repulsive cretin for a single second. He went out so far on a hateful, far-left limb, he’d boxed himself in and was being increasingly ignored and dismissed. I remember Maher way, way back in the early days of his talk show shtick, back on the now-defunct Comedy Channel. Back then (this is late 80s to very early 90s) he was much more libertarian than leftist. He was still a jerk, of course. But he wasn’t the frothing blowhard he’s become since those days. Perhaps he’s rethinking a thing or two these days and seeing the light on a few issues.
I mean, I wouldn’t bet on it, but it’s possible.

Just like the citizens in CA expressed their concern that in the man hunt & shooting of Chris Dorner, they were more concerned about the thug police than Chris Dorner, you could say the same thing about Boston & especially the neighborhoods where the final gun battles & arrest took place.
I would rather defend my own home from uzzzlamic terrorists, rather than seeing 12-15 heavily armed police SWAT thugs come busting into my house, ready to fire at any thing they deemed a threat or any sudden sounds. Our police state thugs are worse than the criminal gangs & terrorists.

LEO is California thought the standard ought to be driving a pickup truck. For those with short memories, a black male ex cop named Dorner was on the run about LA. Cops shot up two Mexican women delivering papers, and then a white guy seconds after being cleared by a police stop.
Even the “brain dead” are coming out of their coma.
