A Homophobic Nightmare (But the dream turned out to be true!!)

I had a disturbing dream last night. I guess you could call it a homophobic nightmare. The fact is, wherever I turned in the dream, from McDonald’s to ESPN, charges of “homophobia” and “transphobia” were flying.

First I dreamed that I was sitting at McDonald’s with our two granddaughters, aged 12 and 6, and they needed to use the bathroom. “Go ahead kids,” I said. “I can see you from here.”

Off they went, under my watchful eyes, the older girl holding the younger girl’s hand, until they disappeared into the ladies room. But seconds later, they came running out, shocked.

“Grandpa, there’s a man wearing a dress in there!”

Stunned, I went to talk to the manager, but he informed me that this was the official policy of the franchise, pulling out a document that read, “We respect the rights of all customers and employees. We believe all people must have access to safe and dignified bathroom facilities regardless of their gender identity or expression. . . . Employees and customers may use any restroom that corresponds with and is based upon the gender identity they publicly and exclusively assert or express.”

When I asked him how this new policy respected the rights of my granddaughters to have access to safe and dignified bathroom facilities, he said I sounded homophobic (actually, “transphobic” was the word he used.)

Still stunned, I explained to the girls that my heart went out to this man, who was obviously very confused, and that we should pray for him. Then we headed back home where some of the neighborhood kids were having an animated discussion. Some of the older ones – perhaps high school age – were really passionate, so I asked them what they were talking about.

“Our school is so mean,” one of them said. “There’s a really cool guy who was born a girl and ran for Prom King, but our principal said he could only run for Prom Queen – even though he’s been a girl for one whole year!”

“Our principal is so homophobic!” another student opined. “You mean transphobic,” yet another student explained.

My mind was becoming numb. Yes, I cared about this young person, but what was the message for the other kids? And what were my grandkids thinking?

At that point my wife called our girls inside for dinner, and I went straight to my computer to check out the story. Was it really true? Sure enough, it was, and the ACLU was taking up the offended student’s cause.

“Time for a break!” I thought to myself – but it’s not because I dislike LGBT people. In fact, when I was just 5 ½ years old, my first music teacher was an openly gay man, and he would come to our house to give lessons to my sister and me, often accompanied by his partner. And both of them would then join us for dinner.

So, I grew up without a hint of “homophobia,” and, more importantly, as a follower of Jesus, it is second nature for me to treat everyone with dignity and respect, regardless of our differences. It’s just that I didn’t expect my granddaughters to encounter a man in the ladies room at McDonald’s, nor did I expect a girl wanting to be Prom King to be the topic of discussion among the neighborhood kids.

Getting back to the dream, as I was researching the Prom King story, I spotted a link on BBC News about Richard O’Brien, writer of the hit musical The Rocky Horror Show. According to the headline, he now described himself as “70% man.”

“What in the world?” I thought to myself.

So I clicked on the link to the article, which contained a totally unexpected, really sad picture. (If you think I’m exaggerating, go to the article.)

According to the story, “a decade ago, he started taking the female hormone oestrogen - and is happy with the results. . . . He has also developed small breasts. But O'Brien is not intending to go further and have sex reassignment surgery.”

“Enough with this!” I said to myself.

To be sure, I felt nothing but pity for this poor man, even if that makes me homophobic (or, transphobic) in some people’s eyes, but I was determined to change subjects, so I went over to the ESPN home page, only to find that the lead story was about . . . homosexuality. Who would be the first gay athlete to come out? And there was another article on Magic Johnson’s gay son, and another article on the top female college basketball player, who was also openly gay.

“Can’t I just enjoy sports for a few minutes without homosexuality coming up again?”

So I decided to go to another sports website, but there was breaking news there too: Jason Collins had just come out as the first openly gay NBA player.

Yes, I care about him as an individual too, but I had to wonder: Is homosexuality the biggest sports story out there?

So I turned on the TV to catch up on the latest scores, except the subject was not the NBA playoffs or the NFL draft. Instead, sports pundits were ganging up on ESPN reporter Chris Broussard who, when asked his opinion as a Christian about Jason Collins’ claim to be a practicing homosexual Christian, gave a straightforward Christian answer. “How homophobic!” everyone cried out.

And then I came to a startling realization. This was not a dream after all. I was awake the whole time.

This was a slice of America, April, 2013. Who can imagine what April, 2014 will look like?

His most famous creation, Dr Frank N Furter, brought the house down with his song Sweet Transvestite.

But the show's creator was ashamed about his own long-held desire to be more feminine.

"I was six-and-a-half and I said to my big brother that I wanted to be the fairy princess when I grew up. The look of disdain on his face made me pull down the shutters. I knew that I should never ever say that out loud again."

So a decade ago, he started taking the female hormone oestrogen - and is happy with the results.

"It takes the edge off the masculine, testosterone-driven side of me and I like that very much. I think I've become a nicer person in some ways, slightly softer. For the first time in my life, I've started to put on a little bit of weight, which I like."

He has also developed small breasts. But O'Brien is not intending to go further and have sex reassignment surgery.

"I don't want to pretend to be something that I'm not. Anton Rodgers, the actor, said 'you're the third sex'. And I thought that's quite nice. I quite like that position.

We are experiencing the Overton Window. The idea, which started in the ‘60’s was for every range of sexual freedom imaginable. But you can’t achieve that, so you start small. Gay acceptance. Transgender Student Allowed To Attend Prom With Girlfriend

Following a week of dispute and a media frenzy surrounding the issue of a prom court ballot, Issak Oliver Wolfe will be allowed to attend the dance with his girlfriend. Wolfe, who is a transgender student that identifies as a man, was listed under his former female name, on the prom queen side of the ballot. In spite of attempts to run for and be listed for prom king, the principal of Red Lion Area Senior High School in York County, Penn., insisted on listing him as female.

“For a transgendered person, it is degrading to have that, and I wasn’t even warned,” said 18-year-old Isaak.

Following the dispute with principal Mark Shue, the school district accused Wolfe’s girlfriend of libel for posting the story to Facebook and later attempted to ban her from the high school dance. Soon after, the American Civil Liberties Union got involved, in support of Wolfe and his girlfriend. On Friday, it was reported that the school district agreed to let Wolfe and his girlfriend attend the prom but there was no clarity on the prom ballot and graduation, which became another area of dispute.

It remains to be seen if the school will allow him to wear the male cap and gown and whether or not Wolfe’s male name will be read during the ceremony.

Why can’t we go anywhere, read any magazine, watch the news (or now sports), just watch TV, go to the movies, or just exist without having this gay agenda shoved down our throats? A few weeks ago, I went to the movies with my son and his family. We went to a children’s matinee, but had to wait in line with people waiting for other movies. There were two very flamboyant trannies flouncing around near us. My DIL and I naturally tried to get where my granddaughter wouldn’t be subjected to them, but to no avail...and this is in Texas! Makes me want to puke.

What should be done is for women to leave the room and wait outside until the freak leaves and stare the a-hole down when he is on the way out.

Let's not forget the primary reason we have segregated bathrooms in the first place, it's to protect WOMEN from MEN.
Any new law that does not take that into account should be struck down by the courts.

*IF* homosexuals are in the number they say they are (6%), then why is it so public? Because the agenda is to destroy “what God had brought together”.

And, before anyone complains, I equate homosexuality with shacking up, and just like the ESPN commentator, any sex outside of MARRIAGE is sin. Period. And sin, whether sexual, lying, theft, or murder, is the same - sin.

I knew a guy in college who seemed to be gay. He was not very masculine looking at a time when Charles Bronson, Charlton Hesston and Humphrey Bogart were icons. But he had women hanging off him all the time. Finally, I asked him about the women. He laughed. I swish a bit and put on a show and next thing you know they’re trying to convert me. Works almost every time. I never spend a Friday or Saturday night alone. And, no, I’m not interested in men. Notice I only do it when women are around.

He was a particular kind of predator who ran until he was caught, which happened all the time. The only way this might reverse is if it becomes common that predators adopt the gay coloration so they can attack women in the restroom. Then, a few lawsuits and companies may back off. But it will take a bigger threat of financial loss than the threat of being overwhelmed by the gay Nazis.

Homosexuality is a sinful and self-destructive behavioral decease. It’s victims should fear it, just as they should rightly fear any other deceased.

Let us not be shy about pointing out the self-destructive nature of this disease inhibiting the biologically essencal process of procreation.

Ultimately if Marriage is to ever be restore it must be focused upon that process and the solid family units which exist to protect it.

Many women feel safe around gay men they feel they can be friendly without having a sexual thing get in the way.

I have noticed it many times, women get along great with fags.
