In a statement to Al Manar TV, the Hezbollah's leader Hassan Nasrallah gave his clearest admission to date that the Shi'ite Islamist group is offering active support to Syrian government troops and other pro-regime forces.
Nasrallah declared that "Syria has real friends in the region and in the world who will not allow Syria to fall into the hands of America or Israel or the Takfiris," referring to a particularly extreme brand of Sunni Islamism. ...as Al Qaeda cells from the latter have reportedly been migrating westward to take part in the civil war with the intent of establishing an Islamic Caliphate.
Although Hezbollah has never officially admitted to sending its fighters to the Syrian battlefield, the number of Hezbollah members returning dead or wounded from Syria has increased in recent months, and the group is thought to have lost around 180 Hezbollah men in operations obliquely described by its spokesmen as "jihadi duties."
In his speech, the Hezbollah leader alluded to the main motivations for his group to involve itself in the Syrian conflict. The first - as expressed by his references to America, Israel and Sunni Muslim powers, indicate the Hezbollah's strategic concerns about the "day after", should the Ba'athist regime in Damascus fall. The "Shia" alliance between Iran, Syria and Hezbollah would be seriously threatened by such an eventuality, and find itself exposed in the face of what it perceives as a dual threat from Israel and Western powers on the one hand, and Sunni Arab powers - led by Saudi Arabia and Qatar - on the other.

There are no good guys here. Assad is bad. Iran and Hizbollah are rotten. The rebels are largely fanatical Islamists and Jihadi’s. Best thing is probably for this war to go on and let them all wipe each other out.
“..as Al Qaeda cells from the latter have reportedly been migrating westward to take part in the civil war with the intent of establishing an Islamic Caliphate. “
With the battlefields of Afghanistan and Iraq closing down they are headed for the new battlefield - the streets of the USA.
give both sides nukes and tell them the other one is going to use it
Not nukes, please. If it really gets bad, we (Israel) allegedly have those. Do not trust retards with nitroglycerin, either. Give them rusty scimitars, and they’ll probably do a thorough enough job of mutual destruction to pass muster.
Lets see, would I prefer to live under Hezbollah or al Qaeda?? No wonder there are so many refugees.
I suggest that the best policy is to let them fight it out - no interference... This keeps all the bad guys busy and away from Israel for maybe a year or two more ... And hopefully the attrition rate will reduce the effectiveness of those Arab Spring nutcases.
Still have not invented toilet paper though.
They do enough damage with gunpowder and pressure cookers.
Better: give them defective ammunition. On another front, use double agents to make them both believe that the otherside is using chemical and biological agents.
In my one and only day working at a factory in Industrial Section 2 of Kiryat Arba (in Arab neighborhood, I saw a toilet like this but on a raised pedastel, but with a small plastic pail in the adjacent sink for purposes of flusing. It was so disgusting I resolved never to sit on it. Fortunately, the night after my first day on the job, somebody stole the computer I was using, probably as an Eid el Fitr gift for a favorite nephew. Since there were no backup files (idiot boss), I could not work there without a computer or the files that were on the stolen computer, so was laid off, which is probably why I am still alive today. What would have happened had I been compelled to sit on that filthy thing, I don’t want to know.
