Bombing Suspect Could Get Plea Deal, Avoid Death Penalty

NBC News is reporting that attorneys for accused Boston Marathon Bombing suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev are discussing a possible deal in which federal prosecutors might consider waiving the death penalty in exchange for a “full accounting” of the attack that left three people dead and 264 people injured.

Citing legal sources, correspondent Pete Williams reported on “NBC Nightly News” that prosecutors and lawyers for Tsarnaev “have begun very early discussions about a possible deal in which he could avoid the death penalty in return for a full accounting to the FBI of what happened and why as investigators continue working to find those answers for themselves.”

Dzhokhar was charged with federal terrorism offenses last week following a heated debate in which some prominent Republican lawmakers called for the suspect to be treated as an enemy combatant, which would have potentially given investigators more latitude to question him about other plots.

The suspect suffered multiple gunshot wounds before being taken into custody in a dramatic confrontation with police four days after he and his older brother, Tamerlan, reportedly detonated two bombs near the finish line of the famed race. The elder brother was subsequently killed in a shootout with police.

I’m really surprised that Obozo hasn’t sent AF1 to Boston to pick up the wounded and families of the deceased to take them back to the District of Corruption to lobby the foghorns on Capitol Hill to vote against the 8 Gangsters’ Freeway to Amnesty bill. NOT!

Attorney General Eric Holder on Saturday defended the decision to read the surviving suspect his Miranda rights, insisting that the decision was “totally consistent with the laws that we have.”

Are these the same "laws" that Holder and the twice unconstitutionally elected thrice admitted foreign born Kenyan tried and are still trying to acquire for 911 mastermind Khalid Sheik Mohammed so he has a better chance at freedom? You know, try him as a citizen with full constitutional rights rather than an enemy combatant so a liberal judge will throw out the case? Please, be my guest. I want to see how the RINO party cowers into a fetal position when both of these fools are released.

What the hell does Holder know about the law? That clown is clueless about the law. We’ve got laws saying that people in this country illegally must be deported. Where’s the “consistency” with that?

The Bomber is going to plead guilty in return for life in prison.

He will be sent to nice prison with a comfortable cell.

He will tell all to the FBI about how how his brother was the mastermind of the whole thing and they acted along.

Their motive was a response to American aggression against Muslims everywhere and also due to injustice and racism they felt in the US.

I’d be OK with that as long as they put him on perpetual display inside a chainlink cage where the public could abuse him.

Some laws are "good" laws. Other laws are "bad" laws.

Sometimes, though, a "good" law can be a "bad" law. And, under certain circumstances, a "bad" can be a "good" law.

It all depends.

And you have to be a liberal to know what's "good", what's "bad"...and when.

Hearing that, he must realize he has the upper hand in negotiations.

He has little to lose, really, in that he’ll never be free. So he can spin a story they like*, get life, and live off our paychecks.

If in a few years, or a few dozen, we find that he lied, what will happen? Loss of library access?

*They acted alone, dead brother was boss, no absolutely no Muslim Brotherhood help.

Does anyone with an IQ over 50 believe that if the First Manchurian Candidate were not with us, that this "deal" could ever have been made? NOT EVER.

Not with the muslim brotherhood "Justice Department" the U.S. now has.
That is all we need; another blind sheik to trigger an endless new series of koranimal atrocities attempting to "persuade" the Big Satan to release them.
Yes,them.

Where the hell did all the American Representatives and Senators elected to represent the American people go? Doesn't this fall under High Crimes and Misdemeanors?
If this doesn't qualify, what on earth does?

The Justice Department could not have pulled that Miranda stunt without the explicit direction from the President's Office. Either that, or Eric Holder has gone rogue. In the Koranimal sense.

The State Department has developed a few true patriots who do not value ambition over duty.
When we will see similar heroes from the Justice Department?

We are talking lawyers here...
...never mind...

A plea for this SOB, and then they’ll offer the Fort Hood shooter a deal. Stick a fork in the USA; we’re done.

Try and convince a jury of that.

I think, as a result, they blew their chance of success with a death penalty conviction. They have no choice but to go for a life sentence. The deal, really isn’t a deal for the defendant, but if he bites, it’s a good deal for the government at this point.

JMHO

After the trial, watch what happens to Miranda with the "new" SCOTUS.

All I’m hoping for at this point is that once he’s in prison, he’ll be ‘Dahmerized.’

The con that beat Jeffrey Dahmer to death with a metal pole is my hero; he saved Wisconsin Taxpayers a lifetime of cash supporting that POS.

Never DID get the correct figures of how many guards were looking the opposite way when that happened. *WINK*
