Just as Jason Collins, a veteran NBA player, announced he is gay, a hall of fame for gay athletes and allies launched in Chicago.
The nonprofit National Gay & Lesbian Sports Hall of Fame will accept nominees beginning this summer. Its goal is to honor people and organizations that have "stood up to stereotypes" and embraced gay and lesbian athletes, said Bill Gubrud, executive director and board chairman.

Carl Lewis and Greg Lougayness should be charter members to the Gay Athlete Hall of Fame. It’s weird to think now, but there was a brief time in America in 1984 when the two most beloved male athletes in America were gay men.

I was sure this was going to be satire. As so many others have remarked you really can’t tell any more. On this one I *think* it’s not satire but still not 100%.

Wait until the Dem Convention in 2016 especially if there is a female nominee. It wouldn’t surprise me if Collins is a speaker and the ideal man is portrayed as a gay dude. Add to Collins and gay pride, the Fluke of 2016, the Longoria of 2016, the Obama of 2016, and of course Bill Clinton, that will be what important and possibly elected.
