Jesus Or Jihad? FBI, Cops Differ On Perp's Words

Texas man's utterances came after Dallas airport trespassingM/big>

Jihad Or Jesus

MAY 2--The disturbed Texas man who was arrested Sunday night after illegally driving through a security gate at Dallas Love Field airport repeated a five-letter word beginning with ‘J’ several times before he was forcibly taken into custody.

Dallas cops say it was “Jihad.”

FBI agents say it was “Jesus.”

Law enforcement officers agree that Ruben Jimenez Martinez, 36, drove his 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe onto airport grounds without permission. Martinez, investigators allege, drove around an authorized vehicle “at a high rate of speed” down an adjacent taxiway.

Traveling in excess of 100 mph, Martinez drove to a hangar, where he exited his vehicle and entered the building. According to Dallas police, the area Martinez entered was “readily accessible to planes and fuel.”

The Dallas cop who approached Martinez inside the hangar reported that he “appeared to be in emotional distress.” Officer Deborah Grabowski noted that she tussled with Martinez as she sought to place him in custody. After Martinez adopted an “aggressive fighting stance,” Grabowski struck Martinez with her collapsible baton.

While waiting for backup officers to arrive, Grabowski overheard Martinez “yell in an unknown language and stated ‘jihad’ approximately 3 times,” according to a Dallas Police Department report. Seen in the above mug shot, Martinez was subsequently handcuffed and arrested for illegally entering a “critical infrastructure facility.”

A related case was filed yesterday by federal prosecutors, who accused Martinez in a U.S. District Court complaint of illegally entering an airport area “with the intent to evade security procedures or restrictions.”

In a sworn affidavit supporting the felony complaint, FBI Agent Rodney Sanchez makes no mention of jihad. Instead, the federal investigator reported that Martinez said that he yelled “in the name of Jesus” three times when first confronted inside the hangar.

Sanchez also stated that Martinez claimed that he said, “In the name of Jesus, open the gate,” when he approached the entrance that he later sped through on April 28. Sanchez added that Martinez “stated that he had a vision given to him by God of this same place and that he believed God had directed him to Dallas Love Field.”

The federal complaint makes no mention of Officer Grabowski’s report that Martinez was yelling in “an unknown language and stated ‘jihad’ approximately 3 times.”

Martinez, who has been in custody since his arrest, is scheduled to appear tomorrow afternoon at the Dallas federal courthouse for a detention hearing. (5 pages)

This reminded me of a crime discussed on FR a few years ago from Dallas or Texas, about a big honor killing massacre in a family, I don’t remember the details but it seems like it took a while to find out they were Muslim or something.

Might have been the Muslim cab driver in Irving, Texas, who made his two teenage daughters get in the back seat and then shot them both. His excuse was that they had become too American and were seeing boys from school.

We must be careful not to confuse nutcases with jihadis.

The difference is rather profound, actually.

Nutcases you put in the nuthouse for their own protection.

Jihadis, however, are a totally different problem. The threat to national security they represent might ultimately need a nuclear genocide to fix after all is said and done. It comes down to the power of ideas, to which American liberalism has only negative contributions. But the fact remains, should we find ourselves on the losing side, dar al Islam will have to be paved with trinitite, collateral be damned! The weaker the US response to jihadism, the more likely the ultimate worst case outcome.

I am sorry I was being sarcastic.

As to nutcases- it is very difficult to put them away for their protection or societies. Thanks to more liberal BS.

I agree with your point about jihadis. They will be the cause of next global conflict. It will be truly ugly- as we will still adhere to REO- whereas the jihadis only REO deals with believer or non believer.

Jesus Or Jihad? FBI, Cops Differ On Perp's Words

ROFLMAO!

Guess the Federal Bureau of Incompetence doesn't realize someone named Ruben Jimenez Martinez would more than likely pronounce the word Jesus with the Spanish inflection....Hey-sus, NOT the hard 'J' sound found in the word gee-hod.

What a bunch of maroons.

I don’t believe anything the feds say, about anything, anymore. They are all corrupt at the top, and then mostly corrupt going down to the bottom.

Speaking in Spanish, if Martinez said “Jesus” he would have pronounced it “Hay-sous” and NOT the “Gee-zus.'

While in English some can make the claim that "Jesus" can sound like "Jihad," in Spanish “Jesus” could never have sounded like “Jihad” as heard by the cop who subdued him.

Even if the guy was a babbling nut rather than a Jihadi with concrete terrorist intentions, it definitely "sounds like" the FBI is again fabricating/concealing evidence after the fact to cover up for Islam.

What a sham that the federal agency that, in former years, protected America from terrorists (by crushing the likes of Obama buddy Ayer's Weatherman and the original Black Panther Party) has been reduced to this point under the Obama regime.

Sorry for tailgating on the point you made 3 minutes before me. I typed too much too slowly to have seen your post before starting to write mine.

The FBI is caught in an Islamic cover-up once again.

The FBI is a bunch of cowardly yellow bellies, they don’t want Obama to fire them for identifying Moslems the new protected species, the hope and salvation of planet Earth, the ultimate superior beings, yada yada yada.

Stop them at the borders, at the airports, no more Islamic students.

Chase them all out of America, they all have a hidden trigger embedded in them, and when they have enough numbers they get bolder.

The lesser the better for America.

LOL! I don't see it so much as 'tailgating' as a confirmation.

[and since I sometimes post before reading an entire thread, I make post like that myself all the time]

I DO greatly appreciate your consideration, though. Your gracious manner does you credit. :-)
