Teachers in rural Oregon are stunned after the local Sheriff’s Department attempted to test their school’s emergency readiness by sending two masked gunmen into the Pine Eagle Charter School, wearing hoodies and wielding handguns.
The event, which took place last Friday during a staff meeting of teachers, was part of a surprise drill conducted by the Sheriff’s Department, aimed at testing “Pine Eagle’s preparation for an assault by ‘active shooters,’ who were in reality volunteer staff members of the school.”
The volunteers fired blanks at everyone in the room, “killing” all but two of the teachers.
According to local media, the school’s principal stated, “it became clear very quickly just how many of the school’s fifteen teachers would have survived. The answer: Not many.”
The armed volunteers did not fear any threat of being shot by onlookers, who mistook them for being real shooters, due to the fact that the school is a gun-free zone and everyone in the room was unarmed.
The apparent goal of the drill was to demonstrate how defenseless individuals inside a school are, during such a situation.

Excellent demonstration of the need to arm teachers, though stupid at the same time.
Firing blanks at people is a great way to seriously wound somebody for no reason, or get shot themselves.
They should nickname this stunt “The Soetoro Protocol” since it could only have been conceived by a reckless idiot trying to sabotage the 2nd Amendment.
If any teacher had been carrying in a gun free zone they would have been fired.

Why don’t they just bring prayer back into school?
They don’t need protection from guns but from evil. The killers will figure something else out, anyway, and with prayer, comes order, men willing to defend, and respect for freedom along with protection from evil.
We’ve allowed the atheists to win with their assertion that evil does not exist. But, in fact, it is they who offend by taking away our protection from the enemy. We wimp out in this.

...except for the substitute teacher who was carrying the little Ruger LCP. He shot and killed both volunteers. Since he acted in defense of his own and others' lives, no charges have been filed against him. However, the sheriff who organized the staged attack has been arrested and charged with reckless endangerment, with additional charges expected to follow.

Never, ever, bet your life that anyone whom you haven’t just frisked is unarmed.

But yet a police officer was fired for bringign a target to the shooting range- a NO SHOOT TARGET mind you,. that ‘resembled’ trayvon martin?
Wating for these polcie officers that scared the bejeebers out of teachers- and all thsoe who were invovled to be fired too-
They were sure it was safe for them to do it,,because it was a gun free zone. Insane.
Yes, professionals are predictable and follow the rules. However, the world is filled with rule breakers and amateurs. They were incredibly lucky someone didnt pull a gun and start shooting.
