Could immigration bill set off another backlash?
Associated Press ^ | May 6, 2013 3:49 AM EDT | Erica Werner

As a Senate committee prepares to begin voting this week on far-reaching immigration legislation, advocates are watching warily to see whether opposition, thus far subdued, builds into the same kind of fierce backlash that shut down Congress’ last attempt to remake the nation's immigration system.

That time around, in 2007, angry calls overwhelmed the Senate switchboard and lawmakers endured raging town hall meetings and threats from incensed constituents. The legislation ultimately collapsed on the Senate floor.

“I’ve been through this battle, and it's ugly,” said former Sen. Trent Lott, R-Miss., who supported the bill. “My phones were jammed for three weeks and I got three death threats, one of which I turned over to the FBI. So it’s rough business.” …

Why would there not be anger?

Demographic warfare is being waged on the American People by their own COngressional representatives. Immigration Laws now on the books are not being enforced. Illegal aliens, overstayed student visas, students without visas turning into bomb makers.... Immigration reform ( amnesty) without border control improvements? ( Look at the Northern border, it WORKS, why not the Southern one????).

THe people do not want amnesty. They do not want doublespeak. If the government will not secure our borders, then the states will.Civil war is in the making.

YOU BET THERE IS ANGER!

(REGISTERING SHOCK AND SURPRISE) A $150 million provision in the Rubio/Schumer reform bill is a “slush fund” --- millions of tax dollars for the same "ethnic solidarity poisoners" that wrote the legislation; millions w/ no cap or oversight---a federal ATM to spread ethnic solidarity poison throughout the US.

$100 million in federal grants to public and private "ethic solidarity nonprofits" to help illegals complete applications and choose which of their multiple identities to use to get the most US freebies.

Another $50 million for legal help and PR campaigns that tell illegals about the “trainload of freebies they get w/ registered immigration status.”

Dam those tricky Dems---they's downright diabolical! This is NOT Marco Rubio’s fault. He was pumping his prez ambitions on Sunday talk----visions of voting illegals w/ multiple identities dancing in his head.

Tolerant and compassionate Rubio sobbed when he told America that the immigration bill was "harsh"---that poor illegals would die of old age before they get citizenship. Rubio wrung his hands in despair that those wascally Dems snuck all kinds of funding and stuff into it. (cue graphic of Rubio w/ halo).

Shall we remind them that the Mexicans have long outdone opponents in the intimidation department. Something about heads on stakes.....

Rubio/Schumer is an atrocity--turns Americans into a conquered people---subservient to the corrupt Third World.

IMMIGRATION REFORM IS THE GATEWAY TO TERRORISM---ETHNIC SOLIDARITY POISON FORCED DOWN OUR THROATS "Reform" finances and gives unlimited power to individuals with primitive survival instincts honed in corrupt Third World hellholes where everything is for sale. The survivalist instincts of illegals DO NOT correspond to freedom and democracy----bedrock America principles we consider sacrosanct. To these individual---its all about "what's in it for me, and who do I payoff to get it."

Alarmingly, the bill finances the coming violence, and gives a pass for any activity illegaly engaged in now or before.....and blesses future illegal acts.

====================================================

<><> Does not keep slobbering illegals out of the welfare trough.

<><> Gives Obomba's militarized DHS even more power.

<><> Gives enormous power over Americans to the corrupt Third World.

<><> Grants amnesty to illegal aliens simply after the DHS Secy submits her jerry-built plans to secure the border;

<><> Grants amnesty to criminals and gang members swarming into the US;

<><> Does not require amnestied illegal aliens to pay back-taxes;

<><> Does not require amnestied illegal aliens to learn English;

<><>Allows illegal aliens to sue the US government for amnesty;

<><> Allows "ethinc solidarity" to reign: lobbies can sue to prevent enforcement measures from taking place before illegal aliens can receive green cards;

<><> Requires taxpayers foot the bill for illegal aliens to fight deportations (at the AG’s sole and unreviewable discretion);

<><> Requires only 3 of 9 southern border sectors to have a 90% apprehension rate, leaving the rest in "porous status";

<><> Grants green cards and citizenship after 5 years to illegal aliens claiming (no proof needed) to have come to the US before the age of 16;

<><>Effectively halts all deportations for years by prohibiting deportation until the illegal alien’s application is adjudicated;

<><> Extorts "slush funds" amounting to $150 million tax dollars (as a starter) to ethnic solidarity groups like La Raza ( which advocates bloody, violent uprisings agaiinst Americans);

<><> Allows the ethnic solidarity bunch to sue to prevent enforcement measures from taking place before illegal aliens can receive green cards;

<><> Requires taxpayers to foot the bill for illegals to fight deportation.

<><> Requires no penalties for the thousands of illegals w/ forged/faked multiplte identities (a common practice).

<><> Allows illegals to freely slobber at the public trough under several identities.......sending US tax dollars back to their homelands.

<><> Does not include key provisions like Motor Voter reform that would “secure the vote.”

trent lott was my senator and he is every bit as evil and corrupt as harry reid. Anything trent says comes from the same source as obama and it smells like brimstone. He sold judge-ships and got caught with his brother-in-law and cut a deal to retire. Good riddance!.

Clearly, some (or all) of the reform provisions were written by salivating Third Worlders--and their Fifth Columns on US soil----greedily contemplating exchanging massive foreign aid checks for latino votes.

===========================================

Even neutral travel brochures belittle the corrupt Dominican Republic govt ---- that provides no safety nets for its teaming impoverished pepulation---that the DR relies on the $$$ illion dollars a year its illegal population on US soil sends back home.

The DR govt is already meddling in US affairs---trying to save the degenerate *** of US Sen Menendez (D-NJ) caught in shady DR deals.

============================================

IMPOVERISHED THIRD WORLD COUNTRIES W/ PRESSURE GROUPS INSIDE THE US (here illegally): Argentina, Belize, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Dominica Republic, Ecuador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Puerto Rico (stateside), Salvador, Spain, Uruguay, Venezuela.

======================================================

AYE VOTES FOR AMNESTY WILL NOT COME CHEAP--- WHAT KIND OF FOREIGN FINANCIAL DEALS will vote-crazed US politicians get in exchange for yes votes on amnesty? And who are their co-conspirators?

LET'S LOOK AT THE FOREIGN TAX-EXEMPTS (1) The National Association of Latino Electoral and Appointed Officials, (2) La Raza, (3) Voto Latino, (4) The Congressional Hispanic Caucus, (5) state Hispanic Federations,(6) latino PAC's, etc ,etc, etc (all pushing free-for-all amnesty). These people need to come clean WRT quid pro quo sub deals made with foreign governments.

We need to see their financial records-- copies of (1) checks, (2) wire transfers, (3) bank account statements, (4) invoices, (5) bills, (6) delivery tickets, (7) correspondence including e-mail, employment contracts, loan agreements, (8) any other books or records.

Scrutinize n/p bank accounts for suspicious activites: (A) large deposits, (B) funds transferred from one account into another, (C) request for withdrawals, (D) offsore activity. Also lists of monies n/p paid to (a) brokers, sub-brokers, (b) family members, (c) mortgage brokers, (d) financial managers, and, (e) real estate agents, brokers, and developers, and the like.

REFERENCE Taxpayers could then sue banks holding tax-exempt monies that cover-up tax fraud. Under the Bank Secrecy Act passed by Congress, banks are required to establish, implement and maintain programs designed to detect and report suspicious activity indicative of money laundering, tax evasion, govt fraud and other financial crimes.

“The Bank Secrecy Act was enacted to protect the tax-paying public from harm by identifying and detecting criminal enterprises, including those engaged in govt fraud, tax evasion, and money laundering," explains the IRS Criminal Investigation Unit.

RE :”Supporters of the immigration bill, released last month by a group of four Republican and four Democratic senators, have been cautiously optimistic about their prospects because of factors including public support for giving citizenship to immigrants, a large and diverse coalition in support of the bill, and a growing sentiment among Republican leaders that immigration must be dealt with if they are to regain the backing of Hispanic voters. Backers have been working hard to build alliances and strategies aimed at avoiding the mistakes of 2007, when critics largely defined the bill and some supporters ended up turning against it.”

Saturday morning on the Up with Steve Kornacki show (MSNBC) his Dem panel admitted that not only would this reform bill not get the GOP Hispanic votes but Obama would get the credit for it passing, not Rubio and the GOP.

Any Republican thinking that hispanics will vote GOP because of an amnesty bill, especially one that Obama signs, is stupid.

When you call your GOP representative in the Senate or House, be sure to urge him to vote against the Republican Death Wish Bill, granting a path for illegals and their children and grandchildren to vote Democrat while getting free stuff at taxpayer expense.

If the rinos in Congress do not vote against all future immigration bills and allow this evil to pass, I will not waste my vote on them. It seems rinos are more interested in getting along with the communist dems of America then protecting the citizenry they represent. DC has become communist run and owned and some 650 monsters there are destroying all the liberties and capitalism our citizens have fought and died for.

Oppose the "Republican Death Wish Bill".

Did the caller have a Spanish accent?

Then-Sen. Trent Lott (R-Miss) said of the 2007 reform bill: “I got three death threats, one was turned over to the FBI."

NY POST EXCERPT--By KIRSTAN CONLEY, LARRY CELONA and SELIM ALGAR--Latin King shooters who gunned down an African-American teen knew they were firing at an innocent — but were ordered to shoot anyone they saw. .....when the two Latin King thugs couldn’t find their targets, their leader insisted that they open fire even if it meant hitting a bystander. Gangster Raul Pacheco claims he resisted the brutal directive, but another shooter grabbed his gun from him and fired three shots. Bryant was hit in the torso and died. The NYPD said it involved a gang dispute. “The intended targets were gone and shots were fired at a group of youths who happened to be there.”

Sen. Trent Lott, another squishy Republican appeaser.

When these guys get heat put on them by constituents fed up with the way their elected officials are giving away the country they cry “foul.” Tarring and feathering is too good for the likes of Lott, McCain, Alexander, Graham, Collins, etc., etc.

“set off another backlash?”

An interesting way to put it. The current tactical approach is to negotiate bills in a way that minimizes thorough public input, then run them through Congress in a way that obscures the complete text, and certainly with such speed that people who devote their energies to watching bills are not able to closely examine the bill for any landmines. Then pass the bill no matter what arm-twisting and demonization it takes, then find out what the law is by being able to read it before all the bureaucracies start their rule-making.

And when the public finally gets to find what is in the final bill, they are angry, and when the flaws of the bill come to light and those who vote for it finally see what a train wreck it is, is that the “backlash” the AP was worried about?

We are dealing here with people who are very, very slow on the uptake. Did not learn their lesson from 2010 apparently.
