Delaware lawmakers will take up a gay marriage bill on Tuesday in a bid to make the state the 11th to allow same-sex couples to wed.
The scheduled vote in the state's Democrat-controlled Senate follows the General Assembly's passage of the bill several weeks ago. Governor Jack Markell, an outspoken supporter of gay marriage, has vowed to sign the bill into law if it clears the Senate.
The vote follows a string of victories for advocates of same sex marriage. Last Friday, lawmakers in Rhode Island gave final approval to a marriage bill, which Gov. Lincoln Chafee quickly signed into law.
Last November, voters in Maine, Maryland and Washington state approved ballot measures legalizing gay marriage, marking the first time voters in any state extended marriage rights to same-sex couples in a popular referendum.

This country is due for a serious chastisement from God.
Rehobeth Beach will become the wedding capital of the east.
There will be so many people flooding into Delaware from Washington, D.C. for ‘wedding weekend specials’; the state will be at risk of tipping over.
Word. I am at 'ground zero' in Gay England, but I agree that it is past time for G-d to pull the plug.
It’s already here in the form of demographic implosion.

Well if a new super infectious strain of HIV that has a 95 - 100 % fatality rate begins to circulate among the homo population we’ll know...
Same sex marriage exists only in the minds of Homosexuals.
The rest of us merely laugh at their ignorance.
It will be interesting to see if any state holds out. Can you imagine the bullying from the lavendar mafia on the last few states who don’t buy into legalized sodomy? The real estate will soar in value and businesses will flock to that state, but the pressure to give in will be immense.
Just say NO to BFers!
Have you not seen polling where the American people strongly favor "gay" "marriage" because the people have gay nephews, cousins, uncles, ex-in-laws etc., even if they don't admit they have "gay" children? People "think" they are "compassionate" in such regard.
I cannot see any of the Southern or Plains states giving sanction to sexual perversion anytime soon. The Northeast except maybe Pennsylvania is a lost cause; ditto for the West Coast. At least for now. By 2025 subversion may well do to many of these states what happened in formerly moderate to conservative states like CO and CA.
So Governor Jack Markell believes that men should be able to "marry" men. And women should be able to "marry" women. He and many others must have failed Biology 101.
Those who support same sex marriage are placing sexual perversion associated with a transient popular culture, above protecting the health and safety of the people. I guess that he and others of his ilk are not worried about who will pay for the added costs of treatment for psychological disorders, substance abuse problems, suicide, HIV/AIDs, associated with homosexual behavior.
Certainly normalizing sexual perversion will not reduce the current epidemic. What stupidity? After all ten other states have done the same! Not to worry, we have Obamacare!
Hey you guys in Delaware do know that Gabriel and Abraham are watching?
LLS
Indeed.
Oh, I’m sure God will judge us all long before then. We are being tested and this is the test of our age - whether we approve of this or deny this before God.
Do you want to be on the side of God or on the side of this age?
Perhaps they’re waiting til we get down to 10 states.
It’s interesting the the public is never allowed to vote on this...only the legislators. What are they afraid of?
So the state legislator of Delaware knows better than thousands of years of human experience, that one man and one woman is the basis for the family and they know better.
Tampering with this formula will result in untold damage for future generations.
A piece of paper can say one thing, God says another.
Amen
