I know a way he could lose 20 pounds of ugly fat, quick.

But then he would have no place to wear his hat.

They insert salt saline into him. I go into shock with that stuff. I did when having a cat scan; so I can’t have it.

And when lap bands fail, OA is still there waiting.

Go to OA.org to find the help you need.

I hope Christie runs, so he can split the RINO money with Jeb.

That leaves the field clear for Cruz.

This is the best set-up we've had since Reagan.

That’s a nasty operation. Doctors are constantly pushing it; all he needed to do was Weight Watchers.

Very high fatality rate with these operations. Then again, so is doing nothing.

Maybe he will shrink down to nothing and just disappear.

If a man allows himself to gorge to the point he is actually grossly obese, and doesn’t have the will power and determination to gain control of his weight without drastic surgery, then I don’t see him having the mental strength and control of his own will to be a satisfactory president of the US.

We already have a butterfly brain who cannot control his own urges occupying the White House - we don’t need a successor.

My wife had the same lap band surgery about 6 years ago with excellent results. Weight loss with the band is slower than with the more common gastric bypass, but the band is reversible.

I absolutely hate the idea of will power when it comes to battling addictions long-term... what you did to lose weight and keep it off was better than relying on will power... you had a change in lifestyle... it became a discipline... white-knuckling and will power have their value, but mostly for short- term fixes... btw, good for you!

I have no interest in Christie’s weight. What bothers me is the heft of the big government he champions, the fat in the bloated budgets he supports, and the loss of weight given to the Constitution and the Bill of Rights when he tips the scales of justice the wrong way.

That’s odd, since he now looks heavier than he was last fall.

Have two friends who each went through this surgery - after a few months they looked like entirely different people. As in 305 to 145 pounds, and 350ish to 190.

Not a fan of Gov. Christie, but wish him well.

Who said I was gloating? I put most of that weight back on after I got married. I just said it was possible without surgery.

Give yourself a break. My husband has lost tons of weight on the WW’s program. It takes commitment, time and, yes, willpower. And it can be done - people heavier than Christie have done it.

As for your assertion that all Christie had to do was go to Weight Watchers: give me a break. People who have big appetites and who eat when they are stressed have been failing at WW for decades.

I've got to disagree regarding Weight Watchers. I was the weakest-willed person on the planet and have dropped 75 pounds so far using the on-line Weight Watchers program.

Easiest thing I ever did. What is nice about their program is that it allows you to have all the fresh fruit that you want, so there's never a feeling of depriving oneself.
